Everyone who didn't already know what you were doing thought you were just kinda obsessed with the name "Paul", and the we were content to let that continue.

Then Zombie mostly spoiled it for you, and then you confirmed it. At that point, no choice but to act, and I managed to do so in a way that didn't specify who or how you were targeting, letting you and Zombie just fill in the fact that you were trolling someone with their personal info.

And the best part is, more people are upset over KIRK's banning than yours. :rofl: Even better, you can thank face and garamet for that.

...so...the straw that broke the camel's back was that Lanzman wouldn't lift the ban on Hood, quietly didn't tell anyone, and hoped no one would make a stink about it? Is that right? Because it seems like it all fell apart after that.

Shit, now I gotta go over there and poke around a bit.
 
Eh. I stuck my head in there. It seemed fairly lively and some of the thread titles looked interesting. I just don't have time for two boards right now. Well, I don't have time for one board, but I hang out here anyway.
 
I gave it a good week of participation. Then TPTB made it clear that there would be no changes, same Eliteforge would still be in charge, only difference is they throw a couple more bones.


And it's pretty sad watching Clyde become Passive Aggressive Bear. Dude used to be an alright guy. :(
 
I think the Apocalypse may be coming. I never in a million years thought Elwood would ever sell the board. And Clyde's metamorphosis is just bizarre. He used to be fairly rational and someone you could count on. It's like he was replaced by a Pod Person. Or bitten by a werewolf or something.

Shit, it is just a fuckin' message board.

The only reason there is drama is because people want it.

I just come to these boards to read something interesting or amusing or maybe get some feedback about something I'm thinking about.

You don't need to turn it into anything more than that.

Poor Lanzman. I suspect he has two challenges:

1) I'm not exactly sure what he does IRL, but I suspect he doesn't make a lot of executive decisions, so he's more comfortable letting other people make the decisions. Things won't change because decisions are hard and status quo is easy.
2) He is also probably busy enough IRL that he doesn't have as much time to devote to running a BBS as some past owners have.

I wonder when he's gonna realize that all he is doing is putting up proof that we used to have alot of mods and pretty decent turnover, but all that's happened over the last two years is a winnowing down as people clashed with TPTB and were fired? Eliteforge has gotten more and insular, as his very own list shows. :rofl:
 
Hmm. My memory is a bit hazy. And I wasn't there from Day 1.

I want to say that there was a fairly decent rotation through modship during the Cass Borgs years. Then the Eliteforge Coup pretty much locked in the mods. Finally, CheekyMonkeyGate forced a partial shakeup of mods too. But I might be mistaken.
 
Damn.

I want to spend more time over here but with Liet looking to be on the verge of another rep related mental breakdown it's HARD to stay away from WF.

No thanks, it was not healthy for me to be over there with all that negativity. It sucked me into a dark place of which I've worked hard to get out of over the last year and have no intention of ever slipping back into.

And to be perfectly frank, there is nothing there that I can't get elsewhere. Be it in internet land or out in the real world. I put in my tenure with the Forge, have a lot of great memories from that time as well, but I've moved on...

As should a lot of the people who dwell in that particular internet fora. It just is not a healthy energy for anyone to become addicted to.

You seem to have some fantastical idea about me, no doubt perpetuated by those at WF. I was speaking of friendship and social interaction, nothing more.
