Since basically your house isn't public but a private domain (unless your renting it but then whoever owns it has private ownership over it). So wouldn't things like getting directions to your house, mapping your house from satellites, be illegal as in invasion of privacy?

Well, I'm asking this question because of the definition of public and private information is becoming hard with the information age.

To put this incontext, the OP also thinks that he is the prophet and bishop of his own "religion".

Hmm, going off topic are we?
It's really hard because technically you don't own the land but you own the house that sits upon the land, so?
And if people were concerned about former ex's coming to find them (through other means) wouldn't Yahoo Directions be pretty bad because basically it gives you a direct route to the house?

If an ex is going through the trouble to track you down, they don't need Google or Yahoo. You may as well try to ban telephone books and road maps, because that's all anyone needs to track you down. Hell, if they already know your address (since you're typing it into Google Maps in the first place!) you don't even need the phone book!
The property at that address may be private, but it's a moot point. Addresses are public. The government handed out road construction and housing permits and assigned postal/zip codes to the appropriate areas.

The problem is, is accessibility though. You might not even know where the place is or what city but finding it on Google or Yahoo does it pretty quickly and gives you a route to go along. Pretty scary, especially with stalkers and such. And satellite photos of your house? Scarier...
