Jessica Jones

SPOILERS for the full season, not using spoiler code since no one ever reads posts under spoiler code, just stop reading if you don't want spoilers.

Seriously stop reading.

Well, it did end up suffering from the usual Marvel Netflix problems, while still being enjoyable tv thanks to the acting. Krysten Ritter, as always, was excellent. Rachael Taylor and Carrie-Anne Moss, despite their characters doing things I didn't like, offered strong support. The guy playing the villain was good but he never quite got interesting enough. What kind of annoyed me is that it AGAIN went to the storyline where the hero tries to stop a villain being murdered to prove that justice is real or stop another hero going to the dark side or whatever. This has happened in like five seasons of these Marvel Netflix shows and I get that it's a running theme but it's a very samey theme. And as a fan of the PATSY Walker character from the comics it's a shame Trish is never going to become her. Maybe season four would have seen her getting out of prison somehow and redeeming herself but that's never going to happen now! And really I can't exactly complain about what happened given that season two ended with her killing someone on her path to becoming a hero so it all kind of made sense. It's just a shame we've kind of seen it all before.

Also there was the usual drag in the middle.

It was good that they got Luke for a cameo (though he was still a crime boss so I guess that's just how his character will be forever now) and even Tennant for a voiceover. Ending on Jessica being free of Killgrave at last was nice.

Again though I really like the character Jessica Jones played by Krysten Ritter and despite the flaws with her show I'd really like to see her again. Same with Matt Murdoch, Frank Castle, Luke Cage and...Colleen Wing (star of Iron Fist!) These shows never lived up to their potential and it's frustrating, but the potential was huge and at times they transcended their flaws to become JJ season one or Daredeveil season 3 or cool corridor fight from The Defenders.
 
Watching episode 4.

WHY ARE THEY THROWING BURGER GUY IN THE POOL? I must have missed something. It's just punishment for not getting her money fast enough? Why doesn't burger guy (oh his name is Eric) keep a knife in his shoe or something?

ANYWAY, I'm glad Eric isn't the villain. Maybe he will make Jessica another burger.
 
OH, bookies! Okay, that makes sense. I thought at first she was some evil mother torturing her large son.

I do not care for Hogarth's storyline. Why couldn't she just have sex with her old gf, why did she have to destroy her life already? Oh great, now old gf's husband committed suicide. I'M ONLY ON EPISODE 5.

Oh, I thought Eric was a villain after all. I'm glad he's not. I like him for some reason. OH NO THE REAL VILLAIN JUST GOT ERIC.
 
Episode 6

Why did Hogarth think showing up at old gf's husband's funeral was a good idea?

JESSICA SAVED ERIC.

Oh shit, the serial killer is too smart.
 
Hogarth thinks she can go around causing deaths and shit but then everyone will love her because of her lesiban powers.
 
I put Jessica Jones on my "To Watch List" on Netflix, and I keep watching the Trailor but I dont' know if I can watch it. IT SEEMS SO VIOLENT! IS IT REALLY VIOLENT?!
 
EPISODE 7

Hogarh is still being fucking stupid. :rwmad: Oooh, I forgot about Malcolm giving that list to Trish.. or did she steal it? I DON'T REMEMBER.

Oh I thought the small town cop lady was going to be evil, but I think she's not evil.

oh no, Malcolm is busted.

I liked Jessica wrestling the serial killer!
 
It was funny how all the kids cheered Jessica over their teacher.

It has violence in it, Mirah, but it's not like a Tarantino movie or anything.
 
EPISODE 8

This one is kinda dragging. I really just want her to catch the serial killer and am not so interested in how, plus Trish's superhero stuff is not interesting either.

Malcolm's gf covered for him!

OH SHIT, DOROTHY.

okay, the last bit of this episode was good.
 
Episode 9
Hogarth is still THE WORST.

I thought Trish killed the serial killer, but he fucking survived. :rwmad: Now Jessica is trying to let the serial killer go so Trish gets away with attempted murder, but I already know that doesn't happen because I read the spoiler. SORRY.

Hogarth's old gf's son is a cutey. Hogarth is gonna break old gf's heart again. She can't help it.

OH no, did Eric kill the cop?
 
EPISODE 10

Hey hey, I want your cray cray.

I'm glad Malcolm is working for Jessica again. Oh no, he broke up with his gf.

Too many dark scenes and I can't see what is happening :rwmad:

Oooooh, Malcolm and Eric's sister!

I thought Trish murdered the serial killer, but she murdered the cop. She's lost it.
 
EPISODE 11

Young Dorothy! She was terrible and kinda great at the same time. Mostly terrible.

I'm liking the flashbacks, but the replay of stuff that already happened is kind of annoying but not TOO MUCH.

Trish putting her foot to Hogarth's neck was great. lol

TRISH ON A KILLING SPREE!!
 
Dorothy got some good stuff (mostly after she died!) and the actress did a good job. She wasn't just a one dimensional abusive mom (even though she was an abusive mom.)
 
EPISODE 12

Malcolm tased Trish! They chained her to a pole, what if she has to pee?

Shit, the serial killer drugged Jessica. OH, THEY GOT HIM. BAM.

No, you don't get to call Jessica Jones from jail like that. She'd have to accept a collect call. lol

Holy shit, Trish smashed him.
 
EPISODE 13

Hogarth is terrified.

LUKE CAGE IN A SUIT. Was that it? Just the pep talk? PROBABLY.

Ooh, Eric making Trish see she's bad with the bleeding eyes. SHE'S GONNA JUMP OUT THE BATHROOM WINDOW, SHE JUMPED.

Hogarth finally tells her old gf the truth. FINALLY. OH GOD, HOGARTH. :rwmad:

At least Trish was stopped before killing another one.

Uh oh, Malcolm's ex gf. She's gonna see Eric's sister. BUSTED.

Fucking Hogarth again. I guess Jessica is using her as bait. OH Hogarth's ex gf is into it. BAM, THERE IS TRISH. Fucking Trish. Oh, yeah, riding in a coffin for 17 hours. THAT'S GOING TO BE FUN. Except Iknow Jessica will catch her. (I would have taken the drugs)

THE FIGHT BEGINS. Yes, Trish YOU ARE THE BAD GUY.

Oh, Hogarth's old gf is not into any more. Now Jessica is breaking up with Eric. WTF, CAN'T ANYONE JUST HAVE SOME LOVE IN THIS SHOW.

It's over. I know a lot of people didn't like Trish's story, but after the flashback episode it picked up. It's sad she's in prison now, but it was okay.
