LOST!!!!!!

I think the birthing thing has more to do with time (somehow). Only pregnancies that happen on the island are dangerous, and simply leaving the island to give birth fixes the problem.

I'm not allowed to have chocolate before dinner.

I KNEW IT, I KNEW WIDMORE WAS DANIEL'S FATHER. Kinda slow ep until the last 10 or 15 minutes, then it was crazy. I don't think Daniel would have held a gun to Richard, and they needed him to do it so his mom would have a reason to shoot him, that part felt really forced. I hope he's not dead. I guess he changed his mind and decided that he could change the past, but why didn't Mrs Squakings warn him that she would shoot him if he pulled a gun on Richard? Is she EVIL?

Sometimes I like thinking about big theories and then sometimes I feel like the writers are just making it up as they go along and keep changing the rules and the backstory to fit the current story (the last Ben flashback seemed a bit continuity suspect but I wont go into it because Tomtrek will shout at me.)

I agree. My girlfriend pointed out somewhere in S4 ("The Other Woman") that every time they showed the Others' perspective during the 815 crash and Ben is giving orders to Ethan and Goodwin that the characters in the background are always changing.

Though, my devil's advocate argument was that different people have different explanations for the same event. I referenced the professor who demonstrated this by having a man in a flannel shirt come in and shoot him in class then have the 50+ students describe the event. No two descriptions were exactly the same. Etc, etc, etc.

"My son is... exactly who everyone thought he was!!!" *DRAMATIC MUSIC*

Quite a good episode, I liked "Twitchy" telling Pierre Chang about Miles and the way everything tied together pretty nicely. Good to see Pen and Des even if it was just in the bookends. I called it on time being flexible! Why else would they go back in time? It wouldn't just be to show us how the events happened, it'd be so the characters could try to change them!

Cassie, I agree about Daniel pulling the gun on Richard. You'd really expect him to ask to talk to Squawking and if Richard said no then he'd say she was his mother.

One other thing, when Daniel was playing the piano near the end he remembered exactly what Widmore's job description entailed. Complex space/time thingmabob equations. You'd think if he could remember that much he'd also remember Widmore telling him about the plane fakery, which Widmore didn't think he would.

It was pretty good other than Dan suddenly turning into a retard. Why does he now think they can change the future? Was it something he found out in his three years away? I guess we'll never find out what he was doing all that time since he's dead now (right? He looked dead at the end. But maybe Jacob could bring him back like Ben.) I don't really think they'll end up changing time so that the plane never crashes. And why would that be a good thing? Sure, some people died, but if the plane never crashed Desmond would never have gotten back to Penny and their son wouldn't have been born, Sun and Jinn would have got divorced and never had a daughter and other stuff. AND PARADOXES becasue Daniel never would have went there in the first place to tell them what to do with the nuclear bomb which means they would never have been able to use the bomb to stop it all from happening and lsjakgdghhhhhhhhh

Also in the scene where daniel was watching tv and crying his hair changed from short to long in five seconds!

I almost said Aaron wouldn't have been born, but Claire was preggo before she got on the plane. I really really hope they don't have a reset.

Well she would have given the baby away to be adopted if the plane had landed, BUT HE'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE RAISED BY ANOTHER.

I don't think they'll stop the plane from crashing, but I think they'll change some smaller things.

Maybe the moment Ellie shot her boy was the moment the island decided noone would be able to have kids there again.

I'll echo everyone else, good, appart from the painfully forced ending, that and there can be a massive gunfight in the middle of othersville and noone comes out of their door to see whats going on.

We didn't actually see what Daniel told young Charlotte. He could have told her something different than what the dying Charlotte remembered and it will changed the timeline. But probably not.

I hope that wasn't the last we see of Desmond. But Mrs Squawking said the island isn't finished with him yet a while ago...

He might need the islands healing properties.

Daniel had big hair!

He was already recovering and people recover from getting shot without going to a magical island all the time. Unless it was a POISONED BULLET>

OMG OMG!

Jack is being a dick again, all he can think about is what he wants, and doesn't care how many people will be hurt. I hope Kate shoots him in the balls. I know she's on the sub, but the previews make it look like they get off the sub for a showdown. Sometimes I hate previews.. Juliet is jealous of Sawyer and Kate BLAH.

Can't wait to see if Locke actually gets to see Jacob. Perhaps Locke has more of a connection with the island than even Richard, if Richard is taking orders from Jacob. I DON'T KNOW.

I think there is no Jacob, and Richard is the one who started the pretence that there was one.

Not a great episode, the only highlight to me was Dr Chang talking with Miles, and Hurley (Jin never even spoke did he?)

All set up for the next episode, but surely since we see people in 2007 we know the H bomb didn't go off in 1977.

Yeah, it was mostly just setup. I don't think Jack's being selfish, though. Okay, so if the plane doesn't crash then Kate will go to prison, Aaron will get adopted and some characters will carry on being twats, but think about how many people will live? Not just Boone, Shannon, Eko, Charlie and so on, but also the people who died in the crash itself.

All set up for the next episode, but surely since we see people in 2007 we know the H bomb didn't go off in 1977.

I think it's all part of the wibbly-wobbly time stuff. We can see what they do in 2007 now because in 1977 they haven't set off the bomb yet (ie, the 2007 we see is one where they never set off the bomb), but Farraday thinks he can change that, which would remove the 2007 we see from existance.

Except because they haven't set off the bomb yet, it's still there.

They've really been overusing the dramatic background music this season and it was getting quite ridiculous this episode. Every scene had the "dunn...dunn...dunn dunn dunn dunn dunn DUNN....DUNNNN" thing going on. They should take a step back and like...stop doing that so much. It was stupid when Richard said he saw them all die and Sun just stared blankly instead of asking any follow-up questions.

So none of the others have seen Jacob, not even Ben? They're better be a good reason why they all follow him as their leader and why they're so willing to kill people for him and why they think the island is so special and worth killing and dying for.

It was cool when Sayid appeared. I think Sawyer will go back to the island to stop Jack and they'll have a big fight...TO THE DEATH.

Oh yeah, Jack is Jacob. The nuclear bomb will knock him out of phase with reality or something and he'll be able to freely skip through time (but trapped in the cabin.) That's why his dad and sister are in the cabin and why he asked Locke for help (because Jack wishes he'd believed Locke all along.) IT'S OBVIOUS!

Now THAT was a season finale, and it also proves that the Abrams team can write something other than the juvenile tripe that was "Star Trek".
