I don't, but you've got a good point. I'm sure they were an hour on the Beeb too, but some shows like Who are 45 mins so they don't have to be edited for the US.
 
It would be weird if UK Netflix was showing the edited American versions.

I hope they don't cut out acid squirtgun guy!

I didn't know anything about that before hand (never mind that it was the last episode!) so I was really shocked they went that far. I'm guessing the Daily Mail was outraged. Mostly about Idris Elba playing the lead role, but the acid attack too.
 
I just realised the girl he took in is "Sketch" from Skins. She's quite convincing saying words no normal teenager ever says.
 
I downloaded series 3 because it's not on Netflix. The episodes are about four minutes longer. SO WHAT ARE NETFLIX CUTTING? It better not be Luther's DONG IMMHO.
 
I've watched all the episodes now. It's a good show. But yeah series 3 was a real drop in quality in terms of the writing. The whole internal affairs story was poorly done (and felt like a repeat of series one.) Why did the Irish cop hate Luther so much? We never found out. Were we supposed to believe Justin was going to turn against Luther or was he just faking it all along? Don't know! Luther running around after getting shot in the knee...okay. It was still good to watch because of the acting and the tension...
 
The new "series" (it's two episodes!) starts tonight so I'll watch it on iplayer at some point in the future.
 
I've been seeing commercials for it, but I can't remember when it's going to air. Will have to LOOK IT UP.
 
Well I've watched the new "series" (two episode.) It was weird that they spent more time on the Alice storyline than the actual cannibal thing (which ended up seeming underwritten. How did Luther come up with "you think you're dead!" out of nowhere?) Especially since Alice wasn't in it so they couldn't definitely tell us if she was alive or dead. So it was a bit of a waste of time. Wasn't Luther on the run the last time we saw him? How can he just come back? Was the stuff with him getting revenge for something that happened in childhood ever mentioned before?

On the plus side Rose Leslie is fucking hot and I liked the part where he beat up the two hitmen with a bin.
 
The showed the whole thing in one night here, with commercials, so I fell asleep before it was over. I don't even know how it ended.
 
I don't know how it ended and I actually watched the whole thing. I couldn't understand what was going on most of the time.

Luther casually taking out hit men was really good though.
 
If this new woman really did murder Alice then why the fuck didn't she just murder the chav girl herself instead of getting Luther to frame her?
 
Completely over the top, ridiculous, unbelievable, trashy and exploitative...but still very enjoyable! That's Luther for you.

A killer who gets sexually aroused by stabbing people is so Luther.
