Make up more lies about Star Trek thread

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter
1) Gene Roddenberry hoped to change the world with Star Trek and had a vision for a better future he thought he could bring about by way of a sci-fi tv show. Money did not enter into it.

2) Patrick Stewart shaved his head bald every week for seven to play Picard.

3) Michael Dorn was no paid for his appearances in DS9 and merely did it "out of the love of Trek".

4) Voyager was based on an idea Gene Roddenberry shouted at Majel Barrett during a fevered argument.

5) Enterprise was good.

6) The Enterprise was originally going to be shaped like the Beatles' hair, as they were in the height of their popularity during production of The Cage.

7) When approached to direct the new movie, J.J. Abrams' initial reaction was "Star what the fuck?"

8) Out of work since her appearance in Enterprise's finale, Marina Sirtis is now living in Greece, stalking The Mentalist. "I sense he has certain emotions.. that's all I can tell you at this time."

9) Janeway's 'bun of steel' contained a Danish pastry which Kate Mulgrew would nibble on between takes. This lead to several minor continuity errors per scene.

10) All Trek related shows and movies were filmed without special effects, since all that technology exists RIGHT NOW.

11) Klingons and Vulcans both exist and are dissected in Rosswell.

12) if we made a full sized enterprise right here on earth, it would not only be a financially sucsesful tourist venture, it would probably lead to lasting world peace.

13) The Ferengi are an exact, one to one, allegory for jews. Right down to those action figures Quark played with one time.

14) Majel Barrett recorded every line ever used as the computer voice one day in 1978.

15) Much of the third season was scrawled in the writers' blood, as the budget wouldn't stretch for a pencil.

16) 'The Best of Both Worlds part 1' was supposed to end with Riker blowing up Locutus and Patrick Stewart would have played Jean-Luc's long lost twin brother "Jimmy Picard" in season four.

17) The aborted ending of 'The Best of Both Worlds part 1' was later used in the movie Star Trek Nemesis.

18) Dominic Keating personally set fire to Rick Berman's pubes after reading the final draft of 'These are the Voyages', exclaiming "this is perfectly awful bollocks, if you don't mind me saying, sir!"

19) Garrett Wang never forgave Voyager for the death of his career.

20) star trek actresses where hired for acting skills, and not because they had big jugs

21)The USS Voyager was to originaly be named The Good Ship Lollypop, a refrence to an early TNG episode.

22) in one episode the prop master forgot to swap the fake phaser with the real one, meaning William Shatner accidentally vaporised one of the guest stars

23) When asked why he thought Nemesis didn't perform well at the box office, Brent Spiner claimed "not enough space Nazis".

24) The entire, 170 episode run of DS9 was going to be one big long story arc, in REAL TIME, but that BASTARD Rick Berman said no.

25) Avery Brooks refused outright to ever let Sisko date a non-black woman because "black is where it's at!" and Ira Behr high-fived him and said "you got that straight!"

26) The reason David Marcus died in real life was because he was a method actor, and died as a result of complications from being stabbed in STIII

27) Morgan Freeman auditioned for the role of Geordi but was rejected because he "wasn't blind enough."

28] As television signals leave earth at the speed of light, eventually they drift to other planets.

A vast war fleet has been sent towards earth to utterly destroy us, they came from a planet that just received the TNG episode, shades of grey.

29) Due to chemical burns from using the wrong make-up adhesive, from season 3 onwards, Worf's cranial ridges are actually Michael Dorn's real head.

30) Tasha Yar was originally planned to be Trek's first transexual crewmember, hence the boyish haircut. This was later changed as it was thought it might confuse viewers.

31) A scene cut from Voyager's episode "Year of Hell, Part II" reveals that part of the Starfleet uniform is a full body nappy, allowing the crew to soil themselves until the ship stops at a Little Chef.

32) After being let go from the show Wil Weaton liked to make sure he peed in every drink served in ten forward from then on.

33) Plans for Queen Elizabeth II to star as the Borg Queen were scrapped when she stormed out of rehearsals.

34) Roddenberry, Shatner, Kelley, Stewart, Dorn, Siddig, McNeil and Bakula were not in it for the pussy.

35) Stephen Hawking did not play himself in his cameo. He was too weak to report to the set, so Steve Buscemi agreed to appear instead. Buscemi had to gain 20 pounds first.

36) Garrett Wang would constantly bug Jonathon Frakes to let him "play with the Ent-E's joystick".

37) Peter Billingsley required no makeup whatsover to play Phlox.

38] George Takei was totally in it for the pussy.
