Merlin

Her bosom is certainly heaving. She should have just smothered Arthur with them instead of the elaborate scheme. Pretty good episode again and I was glad there was no asshole dragon this week.

It would be cool if that was a subspecies of dragon, and it turns out this dragon, is indeed an Asshole Dragon.

I prefer Sean Connery's talking dragon.

ISAAC FROM HEROES AS LANCELOT NEXT WEEK! I hope they make a jokey remark about "painting the future" and wink to the camera.

Seriously now.

Second hottest Michelle.

Actally - Michelle Trachtenberg + Jeri Ryan = Michelle Ryan?

Her body is hot but I'm not totally sold on her face (though she had a few sexy "evil looks".)

It's just that "evil sexy" is so hard to take seriously.

It's endearing!

That Griffon was the worst peice of CGI I've seen in a long time.

I've noticed all the scenes where they fight CGI monsters have been pretty bad. The ones where people fight eachother are fine, though, so it's obviously some technical issue. Probably costs too much to make the CGI characters interact realistically.

Otherwise it was a pretty good episode. Thingy from Heroes was good and I liked it when Mr Meldrew was going through his book of monsters and there was one from last week's episode.

On the other hand:

Shazam.

Indeed, though I'm a bit confused what her job is in the castle. Sexual tease for future king? Anything else?

She's Giles' ward, so her job is:

A) Look pretty.
B) Have a confusing accent.

She's Arthur's half sister if you go by the legend and they have an evil incest baby who kills Arthur...I doubt they'll go that route.

Anytime weapons have to strike a CGI creature it looks awful. They should stop it.

Yeah, but it looks even worse when the characters lunge at something off screen and then it cuts to a reaction shot of the monster. They should probably just have less CGI monsters all together. Have them fight clones of Anthony Head.

DO YOU THINK HE COULD GET ALEXIS DENISOF TO GUEST STAR?

He'd be good as a wizard or maybe a nobleman.

Didn't see today's episode, but I did see (and accidentally walked into) the guy who plays Merlin. Another scifi convention. Did you know he's Irish? He started talking and I couldn't understand what he was saying to begin with. I'll post pics tomorrow.

Cool. Any random sexual encounters we should know about?

Today's episode was okay. It was good that they're trying to give a little depth to the Richard Wilson character and his relationship with Giles.

The first question in the panel session was to the Merlin and Arthur actors "are the characters in love with eachother".

The answer was a no, but of course they can't reveal future storylines.

Next week on Merlin BIT PART ACTOR WHO UNTIL RECENTLY WAS MOST KNOWN FOR THEIR WORK ON COMMERCIALS will show up playing INDIVIDUAL OF QUESTIONABLE INTEGRITY WITH MAGICAL POWERS.

Some Woman or Man in the main cast will have their life put in danger by the insidious nature of the INDIVIDUAL OF QUESTIONABLE INTEGRITY WITH MAGICAL POWERS.

But everything will be OK when Victor Meldrew & Merlin have some really shitty scenes talking about moralistic clap-trap where 'magic' is probably a metaphor for substance abuse or some shit.

There will also be a completely superfluous scene with a CGI dragon that adds nothing to the plot. Not even exposition.
