Merlin

Another pretty good one tonight, though it was a bit similar to the evil shield/snake one. I thought Michelle Ryan was going to be Arthur's mum, but she could still be Morgana's mum and we could get some mother/daughter incest instead of brother/sister. So that would be nice.
 
Pretty good episode. I didn't realise Arthur wasn't a prince until now.
 
Was it wrong of me to burst out laughing when the dragon got mad at Merlin?
 
I laughed too. I hope he escapes and goes on a hilarious rampage soon.

As long as Merlin gets past the dragon for the golden egg, and Gryffindor all applaud, I'll be happy.
 
Then it burns Emma Watson's clothes off.
 
Tonight's was a bit dull. I think the formulaic writing is more noticable when there's not a lot going on. The lack of Richard Wilson and Anthony Head probably hurt a little. Julian didn't get enough to do, he was just a generic thug. I did like it when he slapped Merlin's mum but that was about it.
 
I quite liked tonight's one. I was worried it'd be a bit Robin Hood, but it was pretty good. The only thing I really didn't like was Arthur's speech which seemed to be copied from Braveheart.
 
I was more worried by the fact that I managed to almost instantly predict the main plot events the moment Merlin used magic against Dr Bashir's men.
 
Bashir should have survived and teamed up with Michelle Ryan as THE ULTIMATE VILLAINS.
 
I liked this week's episode, too. Doctor Bashir was cool (becuase Doctor Bashir is cool) and it was nice to get out of the Someone Magic Comes to Camalot > Arthur says "THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!" > Merlin defeats them routine.

Also Morgana is getting hotter ever week.


But Merlin's ears still bother me.

I notice from my girly forums that Katie McGrath is starting to do more photoshoots too (not high quality yet so no reason to post them.)

still not as bad as robin hood, but nor was the plague....
 
I thought the old unicron keeper guy would turn out to be Merlin FROM THE FUTURE travelled back in time.

But he wasn't.
 
For an episode about a unicorn it was pretty good, although the goblet test stupidly simple.
 
Next week's looks good.
 
Pretty good episode. Morgana looked hot when she was talking about killing Giles. I thought she'd go all Dark Willow but they're probably saving that for later.
