Reports: MLB proposes overhaul of minor leagues, elimination of 40 teams
The current agreement between Major League Baseball and the minor league teams -- called the Professional Baseball Agreement -- expires at the end of the 2020 season. MLB is looking to make some major changes, according to reports, that would overhaul all levels of the minors, particularly at low Class A and below.
 
What does Nationals' NLCS sweep mean for the World Series?
All season, we talked about the three super-mega-amazing teams that dominated the regular season. The Astros won 107 games. The Dodgers won 106 games. The Yankees won 103. The Washington Nationals? They didn't even win their division. They stumbled out of the gate to a 19-31 record. After going 82-80 in 2018.

Astros, Yankees to feature bullpens in ALCS Game 6
The win sent both teams back to Houston for a quick-turnaround game made necessary by a rainout Wednesday. Neither manager discussed a possible Game 6 pitching plan until after the contest, and even then, both said their full strategies were unsettled.
