My mum and I are learning German!

As euro citizen I find it strange that many Americans make fun of german and german accent when most of them are partly if not even of fully teutonic descent.
Raise hands who hasn't any german roots.
 
I'm 1/8th German (thanks to one grandmother, but the rest is all-Irish).

I know enough German to understand Kraftwerk, Falco and 99 Luftballoons. After that, eh.

Scots Highlander, Irish, Norwegian and Danish. So -- Celtic? Yes. Teutonic? Yes. German? No.

Where's Whack-a-Barney, or Shoot Barney in the Head and Watch his Brains Splatter?! I miss those games, they were so fun growing up. Ahhh the memories.
