My news

HAHAHAHAHA!!

Picture this: you, on your death bed. Me, foot across your throat.

You: "I'm still breathing.... pwned!"

Me: <just content to strangle you, laughing at your denial of the obvious>

Explain or shut up.

Explain or shut up

Explain center-parted short hair? Ooookaaay then...

I see you're avoiding the question rather spectacularily now, no? And really, what is it with the continued and repeated use of old photos? I think you're getting a little obsessed. Got to say though, it's a bit creepy the fact that you spend so much time posting my image over and over again..

You old fool.

I see you're avoiding the question rather spectacularily now, no?

No. What's spectacular is the fact you can't comprehend metaphorical language. In fact, it's fucking hilarious.

Are you denying that your head is balding?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Gagh, Mentalist, MM - I adore you.
VKD - isn't it 5 o'clock somewhere?

Now - more news on my old dog.
This time last week I thought he was all but dead. Now, his appetite has returned and he is getting around the house fairly well. Granted, his big trip is about 8 feet down the hallway to drink out of the communal water bucket, then 8 feet back up the hallway to get a drink of water out of his private bowl. He does that about 20 times before he passes out for a two hour nap, then gets up and starts it all over again. He's learned to stay next to the wall so when he starts leaning to the right he quickly meets something solid to help him stay upright. He even stood on all four legs several times yesterday. Today he made it to the middle of the living room when I got home from work. He used to greet me at the front door. The vet said that dogs usually recover from strokes quite well and after seeing the progress Tyler has made, I believe it. Still can't let him outside. With it being over 100 degrees every day and the effort it takes for him to get around, he'd have a heat stroke. Once he gets outfitted in a wheelchair and the temps get back down in the 80s, he can go outside again. Today, though, he got a little scrape under his right eye so the first thing to do is find him a helmet!

More news about tests. I made an A on the Business Law mid-term. Yahoo. The final in BL is Monday so I probably won't be around much until after that.

Finally - just finished up another chess tournament. Ranked 1228 out of 1500. That's a pretty decent improvement. Last time around, I ranked 1100 out of 1500. One of these days I'll learn to play and maybe make it up to 1300. Those guys in the top 200 are tough, tough, tough.

I would like to point out that I generally don't read Lord Raffles or RWC posts, but don't have the active desire to put them on ignore. I get a lot of enjoyment reading kefka's posts, and that's why I started reading this thread-- but only the Mirah, eloisel, and kefka posts of course. I had to skim through an awful lot of it since all eloisel seemed to be doing was replying to RWC. But it struck me as sort of ha-ha funny that eloisel was explaining in her post right before I jumped in that RWC was not worth her time, since she was so obviously taking *some* small amount of time to continue responding. After I posted I checked back to see if I got any attention. Which I did. Then I read your post--well, the first few but I tend to tune out when it turns into a back and forth like this. It's got to be either one person who is absolutely riveting or at least two interesting posters lobbing back and forth, and the majority of RWC posts do not interest me. Not an insult, but a statement of fact. If you and eloisel, or gagh, or kefka, or Mirah, or any combination thereof were to converse I would behave much more like a groupie; too engrossed to post.

Good luck eloisel. Also, good news about your old doggie. I think while you're away I'll put the kids on restriction and give them more chores around the house to keep them out of trouble. Those pesky kids have too much time on their hands and always end up squabbling over the silliest things.

Gonad, the only reason why I've responded so much to him in this thread is because I'm up all hours of the day and night with the old dog. It is kind of hard to sleep with him bumping up and down the hallway. When he quits, I have to get up and check to make sure he hasn't fallen and can't get back up or is stuck somewhere. He got stuck under an end table the other night, got frustrated and sent it sailing across the room to smash into the wall. Bad end table was a nuisance anyway, but, still, have to get up and protect him from the furniture and the furniture from him! The rest of the time I was working on homework and since the computer is online all the time I switch over here for a break from studies. Think - to be only marginally more interesting than Business Law - Leases, Contracts, Corporations, etc.....

Enkephelan - thanks for the good thoughts. Big dog is up and doing his rounds now so I'm up with him. I miss those days when I could put the kids on restriction and punish them with hard labor. I had the cleanest baseboards on the planet. Used to hope they'd do something at least a tiny bit bad. Dang ... I need to adopt some wild kids!

That was a question directed toward eloisel but I suppose anyone's answer has the potential to be interesting.

I'll post one right here of me sunbathing outside my apartment. Hold on. Tightly.
