Kevin Love signs four-year, $120 million extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Love, a five-time All-star, opted out of the 2019-20 season on his current five-year deal.

The new extension will kick in after he earns $24.1 million next season.
 
The New York Knicks signed free-agent big man Noah Vonleh on Tuesday. The deal is for one season and partially guaranteed.

Vonleh, 22, the No.9 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, average 4.9 points and 5.8 rebounds for Portland and Chicago last season.
 
It's official: Carmelo Anthony is now a member of the Atlanta Hawks. For now.

The three-team trade sending Anthony, Justin Anderson and a 2022 lottery protected first-round pick (via OKC) to the Hawks; Dennis Schroder and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot to the Thunder; Mike Muscala to the 76ers is official.

The Hawks will waive Anthony after he clears waivers to become an unrestricted free agent, the expectation is that he will sign with the Houston Rockets.
 
Indiana Pacers coach Nate McMillan has reached an agreement in principle on a contract extension that will take him through the 2020-21season.

McMillan is 90-74 in two seasons as the Pacers' head coach after serving as the team's associate head coach for three seasons under Frank Vogel.
 
The Cleveland Cavaliers received a commitment from free-agent guard David Nwaba on Wednesday.

Nwaba, a 6-foot-4 guard out of Cal Poly, averaged 7.9 points on 47.8 percent shooting and 4.7 rebounds for the Chicago Bulls last season.
 
Free-agent center Jahlil Okafor has agreed to a deal with the New Orleans Pelicans. Okafor, was the third overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft.

The 35-year-old Harris has average 11.1 points, 4.1 assist in 917 career games, including 446 starts.

The San Antonio Spurs traded Kawhi Leonard along with Danny Green to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl and a protected 2019 first-round pick.
 
The Milwaukee Bucks have waived point guard Brandon Jennings.

The Bucks had signed Jennings to a two-year, non-guaranteed contract last season after giving him two 10-day deals.

He average 5.2 points, 3.1 assist and 2.2 rebounds in 14 games for the Bucks.

The Bucks originally drafted Jennings with the 10th overall pick in the 2009 draft.

Free agent forward Carmelo Anthony plans to sign his one-year, $2.4 million contract with the Houston Rockets on Monday.

Anthony, 34, also received $25.4 million of his original 2018-19 salary minus a $2.4 million contract buyout with the Atlanta Hawks.
 
The NBA is welcoming franchises owned by the Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves to its NBA 2K League ahead of its second season.

The four franchises will join the 17 NBA teams that participate in the inaugural NBA 2K League season.
 
Oscar Robertson's 1971 NBA championship ring has sold for a little more than $91,000 in an auction.
The ring the Hall of Fame guard won with Milwaukee for his only NBA title was the top seller from a collection of his items in the Lelands.com 2018 Invitational Auction.
Robertson's Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame ring sold for about $60,000, and one of his game-used Bucks jerseys went for a little more than $50,000 in the auction that ended early Saturday.
 
The Philadelphia 76ers have hired former Duke and WNBA star Lindsey Harding as a full-time scout for next season.
Harding, the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA in 2007, is only the second former WNBA player to be hired for a full-time scouting position with an NBA team. Dallas Mavericks assistant coach Jenny Boucek is the other, having done advanced scouting work for the Seattle SuperSonics in 2006.
 
The Houston Rockets traded forward Ryan Anderson and guard De'Anthony Melton to the Phoenix Suns for forward Marquese Chriss and guard Brandon Knight.

Anderson has two years and $41 million left on his contract. For the Suns, the 15.6 million represents Knight's salary for the 2019-2020 season.
 
Jordan returned to his hometown wearing North Carolina Tar Heels blue and met with some hurricane victims, many of whom have benefited from his $2 million donation in September. Jordan gave $1 million each to the Red Cross and the Foundation for the Carolinas Hurricane Florence Response Fund.
"I can give money all day long, but at some point, you want them to understand you're human," Jordan told The AP.

Jordan handed out Thanksgiving dinners at a home improvement store and gave away Jordan Brand shoes on Tuesday at a Boys & Girls Club where he played as a child.
He said he hopes that Charlotte's hosting the All-Star game in February will provide an impetus for more financial aid to the region.
