The late Lakers legend had two Hall of Fame-worthy careers in his 20 years, one wearing No. 8 and the other wearing No. 24. Bryant came into the NBA wearing No. 8, the sum of the digits on his jersey (143) at the Adidas ABCD camp for high school stars. After 10 years, Bryant wanted a fresh start, so he began wearing No. 24, the number he'd worn as a freshman in high school.

After leading the Milwaukee Bucks to the franchise's first NBA championship in 50 years, coach Mike Budenholzer has signed a multiyear contract extension with the team. His extension punctuates three seasons that include a trip to the Eastern Conference finals and the championship victory over the Phoenix Suns in July. A two-time NBA Coach of the Year, Budenholzer is 31-17 in the playoffs as Bucks coach, including the 2021 NBA title and trips to the conference finals and semifinals. Paul Millsap agrees to deal with Brooklyn Nets
He averaged just 6.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in 12.1 minutes per game in the Nuggets' two playoff rounds this past postseason, a sign the team was moving away from the 36-year-old.

Sources: Memphis Grizzlies trade Juancho Hernangomez to Boston Celtics for Kris Dunn, Carsen Edwards, pick swap
A career 35% 3-point shooter, Hernangomez will give the Celtics some depth at power forward, a position where they didn't have an obvious fit on their second unit. Edwards, 23, has played sparingly for Boston over the past two seasons since being the 33rd pick in the 2019 NBA draft out of Purdue. The deal cannot be completed until September 15, when Dunn can be traded along with other players after being traded to Boston in a separate deal last month.
