Coach Mike Budenholzer signs 3-year extension with Milwaukee Bucks, sources say
After leading the Milwaukee Bucks to the franchise's first NBA championship in 50 years, coach Mike Budenholzer has signed a multiyear contract extension with the team. The deal, announced Tuesday night, is for three years, sources told ESPN. Budenholzer -- who was entering the final year of his contract -- now ties himself to the Bucks through the 2024-25 season. His extension punctuates three seasons that include a trip to the Eastern Conference finals and the championship victory over the Phoenix Suns in July. A two-time NBA Coach of the Year, Budenholzer is 31-17 in the playoffs as Bucks coach, including the 2021 NBA title and trips to the conference finals and semifinals. He is 172-65 as Bucks coach in the regular season.
NBA players' union to help renovate court at Rucker Park In a project funded by the NBPA, the renovation of the iconic court includes repairing and leveling the pavement, the replacement of bleachers, backboards, baskets and the scoreboard, the addition of team benches and repainting. The backboards and baskets will be custom-made and provided by Spalding.

The deal cannot be completed until September 15, when Dunn can be traded along with other players after being traded to Boston in a separate deal last month.
Chicago Bulls agree to 2-year, $3.6 million deal with forward Alize Johnson
Free-agent forward Alize Johnson has agreed on a two-year, $3.6 million deal with the Ckicago Bulls, his agent, George Langberg, told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Monday. The loss of Thaddeus Young and Lauri Markkanen this offseason created a need for frontcourt depth and an opportunity for Johnson to crack the Bulls' rotation. Johnson, 22, played in 18 games for thtse Brooklyn Nets last season and averaged 5.2 points and 5 rebounds, including a 20-point, 21-rebound performance against the Indiana Pacers in April. Johnson played two years at Missouri State before being selected in the second round of the 2018 NBA draft by the Pacers.

After electing a star-studded Class ot 2020, led by NBA legends Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett and the late Kevin Bryan, the Basketball Hall of Fame will officially enshrine two classes in 2021. The full Class of 2020 was unveiled on April 4, 2020. The nine new members of the Basketball Hall of Fame were enshrined in April after the original 2020 ceremony was delayed and relocated due to the coronavirus pandemic. The 16-person Class of 2021 will be enshrined this week, led by former NBA superstars Chris Bosh, Paul Pierce, Ben Wallace and Chris Webber. Boston Celtics legend Bill Russell is also being enshrined for his coaching career, making him the fifth person to receive the honor of being a Hall of Famer as both a player and a coach. All 16 members of the Class of 2021 will be presented at the official enshrinement ceremony by current members of the Basketball Hall of Fame.
