New Doctor Who

It was better, yeah. The whole thing about the Doctor "just knowing" when he can't change the timeline didn't make much sense though since he was completely wrong this time and did end up "changing" the timeline to the one he knew. Unless this is foreshadowing him being able to change what happened to Gallifrey later in the season or something.

I think Gallifrey is the one place in the universe where time travel is impossible, so you can only go to it in the present

Anything can change as the plot requires it. Like how Billie can never come back into our universe...

I really liked today's episode, which is especially good because I was worried I'd hate it. Turning up at an historical event and meeting weird witches seemed like it'd be a repeat of the Shakespeare episode that I didn't like, but it actually all fit together quite nicely. The lava monsters looked really, really good, as did the volcano. Obviously, there were some cheesy bits, but over all it was a vast improvement over last week's twaddle. And Donna wasn't even that annoying. Although she did seem to do the "how very dare you?" guy's voice at one point.

It does seem we're going to get a "we're not married!" joke every week though.

I wish she'd stop shouting.

I hate her voice.

FACE?!

BOVVERED?!

(Sorry)

I thought the grey haired sooth sayer was badly cast, btw. He was trying to be all dramatic but he had the gravitas of a moldy dishcloth imo.

He was in ashes to ashes as well, he should just stick to impersonating the old man from Steptoe and Son.

Seeing Phil Cornwall was nice though, I wonder if this paves the way for the other dead ringers guy who does Tom Baker so well.

Catherine Tate really does have gigantic breasts, as Gagh pointed out.

They do make up for her annoying voice. A little.

Jon Culshaw I believe. Personally, I only think the woman in Dead Ringers is very good. The others are either bad impersonators or have rubbish material to back it up. Culshaw's Tom Baker is very good, though (as well as William Hague). I liked it when he went into that furnature store and claimed the cupboards were TARDISs.

It would be funny if they made the fans believe it was a multi doctor story, and it just turned out to be some bloke impersonating him.

Funnier still if they used Tom Baker as that guy.

He briefly played The Forth Doctor in one of the Big Finish audios, so it isn't entirely out of the question.

I don't care how geeky it is but I'm buying the shit out of these when they're released.

Does the first one come with a spare head!?

Alternate head without a hat, yes.

Well that's snazzy (I suppose there's a reason the hat couldn't have been removable.(

It's easier to to a non-removable hat at that scale than it is to have a seperate hat, yeah.

The likenesses are incredible.

I too sence forking out a lot of money in the future.

That was a pretty cool episode.

I saw the Christmas Special last night.. I think I'm finally starting to GET Dr Who. Maybe it was the watching of Sarah Jane Adventures that made it happen I DON'T KNOW. Anyway I liked it, and I finally know who Kyle Minogue is!

Will I find out who the new companion is in the next episode?
