Blues get Jacob De La Rose from Red Wings for Robby Fabbri

The 24-year-old De La Rose had a goal and three assists in 16 games for the Red Wings this season. The Swede has 12 goals and 20 assist in 195 regular-season games with Montreal and Detroit.

The 23-year-old Fabbri had a goal in nine games for the Blues this season. He has 32 goals and 41 assist in 164 regular-season games, all with the Blues. He appeared in 10 playoff games last season to help St. Louis win the Stanley Cup.

Hurricanes activate Jordan Martinook from injured reserve
Jordan Martinook is back with the Carolina Hurricanes a little over a month after having core muscle surgery. The team on Friday activated the forward from injured reserve. He missed 15 games after having surgery to repair a core muscle injury Oct. 11. The 27-year-old alternate captain had one assist in four games before he was hurt. He had a career-best 15 goals with 10 assists while playing 82 games during the 2018-19 regular season.

Bruins sign Charlie Coyle and Chris Wagner to multiyear extensions
Coyle's deal is for six years, running through the 2025-26 season, with an annual cap hit of $5.25 million. Coyle has skated in 524 games, scoring 98 goals with 164 assists. Wagner's contract is for three years, through 2022-23, with an annual cap hit of $1.35 million. Wagner, 28, has played in 273 games over six NHL seasons with the Ducks, Avalanche, Islanders and Bruins, scoring 30 goals with 23 assists. He is coming off a career-best season in which he scored 12 goals and tallied 19 points.

Capitals deal Chandler Stephenson to Knights for draft pick
Stephenson, 25, helped the Capitals win the Stanley Cup in 2018 and is now in his third full NHL season. An excellent player on the defensive end and on the penalty kill, Stephenson has three goals and an assist in 24 games this season.

Ex-Leaf, Flame Matt Stajan retires after 14 seasons
Stajan had 413 points (146 goals, 267 assists) in 1,003 NHL games -- more than five seasons in Toronto and more than eight in Calgary. He spent last season with the German club EHC Red Bull Munich.
