James van Riemsdyk will head back to the team that drafted him after agreeing to sign a five-year, $35 million deal with the Philadelphia Flyers.

He was drafted by No.2 overall by the Flyers in 2007.

Van Riemsdyk is coming off a six-year, $25.5 million deal he signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs prior to the 2012-13 season.
 
Defenseman Drew Doughty had agreed to an eight-year, $88 million contract extension through the 2026-27 season to stay with the Los Angeles Kings.
 
Forward Jay Beagle is leaving the Capitals, agreeing to a four-year, $12 million contract with the Vancouver Canucks.

Beagle was part of the Washington Capitals run to the Stanley Cup title, scoring seven goals with 15 assist in the regular season and chipping in another two goals and six assist in the playoffs.
 
Forward Matt Cullen is returning to the Pittsburgh Penguins, signing a one-year, $650,000 deal.

Cullen, 41, has played one-year contract's for each of the last past three seasons
