Youth is only wasted if you do not appreciate it and if you don't realize what you have until it's gone.

I totally wasted my youth by actually being wasted for most of it. I don't remember the years between 25 and 32.. oh I have the occasional flashback to remind me though, so it's not all forgotten. Too bad most of them make me cringe.

Teehee...I am aware.

That blond would be called "highlighted to cover up the gray" blond. My natural hair color is a mousy light brown so I highlight, highlight, highlight. Although over the weekend I chopped off seven inches and went a little darker. I needed a lift.

I just spent a small fortune on my hair yesterday. They had me there over 4 hours!! My stylist is having a baby in 9 days and it was her last day of work, so I wanted her to get a good commision and a good tip. I actually went blond on the highlights this time.... and it looks really good. I was expecting thick white Lily Munster streaks, but I dont resemble a skunk in the slightest.

I can't stop dying my hair. It's addicting. It's dark red at the moment.

I honestly believe that it doesn't matter what you look like, though Tisiphone, if that's you, you look just like someone I know. It's your attitude that people see, and what people respond to.
 
Awww, that's Tis...You remind me of my best friend Sara, you two look so much alike...I miss her.

Anyhoo, my hair, my hair. I'm glad to see that you tried the blond highlights mm, they're beautiful if done well, I love them. I do hate that you called me a blond but I've accepted that that's what I looked like and that is exactly why I went a little darker this time around. We'll see if I have to stay that blond depending on how the gray grows in this time. Also, four hours! I hate to say it but I feel you, my hair takes a minimum of three and a half, I just have so, so, so much hair, I'm a thing of legend in the salon, my sylist has to clear her schedule to fit me in. Plus I have these two super curly spots and then my hair is curly around my hair line so straightening it takes a lot of time...For her, I'm used to it.
 
^As do most people, nuttin' wrong with that.

What used to piss me off is when my friends would have me color their hair when they were broke (I used to be a professional hairstylist) and then as soon as they got money they'd go to a salon. I didn't mind not doing their hair anymore but don't come to me for freebies, that's jacked up.
