Oh, the pond did great. Bertha doesn't mind the rain! The power outage did make her pump shut off, of course. I worried a little bit about getting oxygen in the water, but she can come to the surface for air if she needs to.
She's not very active when it is cold. I am keeping the pond between 71 and 72 degrees (about 21c), but Bertha is a tropical fish and would like it to be a little warmer. I could turn the heater up, but I have to think about the electricity bill. PLUS Berthas live in the springs during winter, and the springs are about 71 degrees all year.
Did you see the little shrimp at the end? I couldn't believe it when I saw it, they are so little. I just got lucky, because I never have any idea what I am filming.
A little red cherry shrimp. You can see its butt at 1:43, and then I bumped the selfie stick on the side of the pond and it jumps backwards. It's on the left of the screen, kind of in the middle.
