Shitbottle

Can I have Ops?
I have a friend that lives there- seriously!

you should steal one of their town signs, IMO.

They probably have to replace them every week, lol.

Ah, so it wasn't just invented for the show. I loved the never ending phone conversation.

Secret reference only people who watched something get?

Stewart Lee had a new comedy vehicle last night (I only knew because I happened to catch an interview with him about it on R4). It had Chris Morris playing the role of Armando Iunnucci.

Ah-h, I knew it was coming back but I never suspected it would be on a Saturday. I'll watch it using 21st century viewing technology.

He'll HATE that! He HATES the internet!

(Not really, he's just playing an exaggerated version of himself)

Well I don't use it for porn so I'm okay.

I like Christopher Morris.

I have to know. Wth is this shitbottle?

"These days, if you say you're English, you'll be arrested and sent to jail!"

The "nothing" song was amazing.

Chris Morris simply shaking his head at the Monkey sperm part was the funniest moment for me.

BTW - I am not unconvinced that the quote from Lee Mack (last week) is made up entirely and he agreed it up front with Lee that he was going to use it. I am not going to go as far as buying the book, but it is well within his routine to make it up to confirm our own hypocrisy.

He said in an interview that he'd read it in Lee Mack's book, and that "the Stewart Lee character on stage" would assume it was directed at him, while the real Stewart Lee had no idea and didn't care anyway.

Having actually researched this now, it's classic Lee.

I think he at one point used "Oxbridge" and "cultural bully" as a description. He also made a comment about sneering comedians who wouldn't go on panel shows.

Lee has wrapped this up (in a similar fashion to the Russel Brand quote) and made it about the "on stage" Stewart Lee. I saw him in another interview talking about Lee Mack's sitcom talking about popularity. He did not sneer at all, almost looked like he was talking positively. The on stage persona is perilously close to a misanthrope, in conversation he appears much more amenable.

I feel like a Stewart Lee geek knowing this now.

Yeah I'm sure I've posted this before, but it's brilliant!

I'm glad someone else remembers Cat Bin Lady.

Kevin Eldon does a better Jimmy Carr face than Stew.

That interviewer scrunches his nose in disapproval a lot!
