Smallville Losing Lex Luthor...and others?

He had them in one episode. Then just stopped wearing them.

'Cause they made him look like Nana Mouskouri? Only with bigger lips?

Of course it will! The end of the season always has a mindblowingly cool couple of episodes that make you wonder why you ever doubted it, so the series finale is bound to be insanely good and you'll feel TERRIBLE for ever wanting it to end.

This is so true it's unreal.

Fact is Smallville is poo. The writing is dire and beyond contrived. They have the mythos of Superman to play with and they fuck it up. It is such a rich tapestry to have the rights to yet they seem incapable of making the show good.

I've been on board since the very start. 7 damn years. And there is NEVER any improvement in the show. You can't distinguish any real evolution whatsoever.

Rosenbaum leaving is dire news. As if the show couldn't get any worse. He's far and away the most talented. And with Lionel it gives the show some MUCH needed credibility. Unfortunately it's a one way deal. The show does nothing for their images as serious and talented character actors.

Kreuk going is about 3 years too late. She should have been killed ages ago anyway. Never liked her. She's crap.

Chloe really does need to stay if they are going to salvage anything. They need to have some balls and start taking the show places it can't reset from next week.

I'm sure the last few episodes will be "amazing" as usual but the truth of the matter is that the finales are good but the thing that makes them "great" is that you are so frustrated at the utter lack of interesting storylines that when they actually bring 20 odd episodes of mediocre and downright shit production to a close with something nearly interesting you can't help but have a fan boy mark out to it.

Doomsday....

Uh.... GREAT.

Doomsday: Get out of my pub!

I knew about Martha becoming a senator, but that hasn't stopped her from spending almost all her screen time in her perpetually sunlit kitchen baking cookies and imparting lovelife advice to Clark in the episodes I've been watching (on Channel 4, so it's a few seasons behind). Tomorrow's episode is about Jimmy having a dream where they're all in the 1940s, so I shouldn't be too concerned if I plum forget to watch.

Lex Luthor is the total package. I loved him at Summer Slam years ago.

Whatever happened to him? Drugs?

oh nooooo :( He was the only cute guy in the series *sulks*

I remember the Jimmy dream episode. It was about as pointless as it sounds.

Actually the Jimmy Olson film noir thing wasn't so bad. Lois and Lana had virtually no lines, so it was quite an improvement on most episodes.

Doomsday: Get out of my pub!
Nuthin wrong with a couple of supervillains knocking back a few.

Classic.

I can't wait until they have Zod in it, but possessing Lex's body for some reason...oh, wait...

Or maybe Pete comes back and gets a super power and is able to stretch with horrific CGI graphics!

I can't wait until Pete possesses Chloe and uses his powers to give her body telescopic tits.

There was one where Pete turned "evil" and started checking out Chloe's ass (seriously, what's evil about that?)

I look forward to the one where half the cast drop dead from aneurysms thanks to being knocked unconscious every week.

This just in!
Super Exclusive Smallville News: Chloe's Staying!

Smallville fans, consider this bullet officially dodged: Multiple sources confirm to me exclusively that after weeks of tense negotiations, Allison Mack has sealed a deal to return next season as a series regular!

[The crowd roars]

Although the specifics of the new contract -- which was signed just hours ago -- are being kept under wraps, I'm told it calls for Mack to appear in all episodes produced next season. As I reported earlier this week, the actress' reps were (wisely) using the imminent departure of Smallville vet Michael Rosenbaum as leverage in the negotiations. I'm going to go out on a limb and say the strategy paid off.

Yeah, but they've recast her as Lex Luther! (Teh Kraponite madyde him grow teh boobehs).
