Black Kryptonite was used to seperate Doomsday and Davis and then Doomsday was sent into the future to be killed by the Legion of Super Heroes.

Davis was still a monster though and killed Jimmy Olsen. But not "the" Jimmy Olsen.
 
I don't remember him being sent into the future. I remember Clark flying him into an exploding thing.
