Apparently the "great power" speech was never actually in the comics, which is why they didn't reproduce it this time.
I like it too, and pretty much echo your sentiments re Aunt May, might as well have had Peter living alone, plus she seems so much younger than all previous versions.
I like how the bully respected Peter and even appeared to be his friend by the end, also like how twitchy Peters head was after the accident, really made him seem more spidery.
Of course the police captain was doomed from the moment he saw him with his mask off.
Liked the crane driver helping out, and that the bad guy actually went to jail at the end, and he never did catch his uncles killer.
Seemed to avoid a lot of the clichés these sorts of films fall into.
