Many of Dark Horse's Jedi Tales shorts are good. I enjoyed Shadows of the Empire back when it released - Xizor would have made a great, slimey movie badguy. The storyline of The Force Unleashed is also rather good. Zahn's Thrawn books were good until the shitty Joruus C'Boath & "Luuke" storyline referred to above.
 
I should read the (good) books sometime, maybe.
