Okay, maybe I overreacted a little last night myself, but it's still a completely moronic act to call the police over a complaint in a shop. It doesn't matter how many phone lines they have, you don't know what the situation is. Large scale emergencies can happen at any time of the day and every operator who's free to receive calls is important.
Every so often they broadcast these calls on the news, and yeah, it's pretty funny to hear some idiot calling to complain that their cat's annoying them, or they forgot where they left their shopping bags, but I never thought I'd actually know one of these people.
