Star Trek 12 news/countdown thread

Yup, I've taken to seeking out the 2D versions of movies, though this is much more to do with how they look than the cost. But the extra cost is a real pisstake if there's no 2D option. A few weeks back I saw a 3D movie that cost £17. For one ticket. Granted it was at a central London cinema aimed at tourists, but still unbelievable.

Here the prices go from $8 for a matinee in 2D all the way up to $17.50 for IMAX 3D.

I probably don't know what I'm talking about but I think it would be weird for a cinema to have no 2D showings at all? Surely they know some people will refuse 3D.

Can't you complain to your LOCAL NEWSPAPER?

If it was a purse being snatched they would be all over it.

But if this is a national thing I doubt there is much a local paper can do about it.

At least there is a choice with Ironman3, albeit one 2D showing for every three 3D ones.

If the spoilers I have read are true, it still sounds ok to me, and I also read a spoiler free review that was practically glowing about the film.

I will make my own mind up, assuming I can get to a 2D showing.

"Future Guy, are YOU John Harrison?"

This thing looks like a hefty dog turd rolled around in flour, dropped in an eggwash, coated in panko and deep fried and served up for the price of a movie ticket.

No thanks. :)
