Star Trek 12 news/countdown thread

Bob Orci trying to explain the title.

the sentence implies the silent “you” we all learned about in English class.

as in:

(You) Star Trek Into Darkness

or another rephrase (You) Trek through the Stars into Darkness.

I must have been off the day they taught us about the "silent you". :(

Knowing him he probably misinterpreted what the teacher was actually saying, and construed her lesson as confirmation that the president was a lizard and the moon landings were faked, as well as this important information about the silent you (which is in secret control of the western media).

This is a reach, but might Benedict Cumberbatch NOT be playing a villain & be playing Flint? Unless Abrams, Lindelof, & Co. reinvent Flint as a villain.

And what's up with that title? Are they for real? Star Trek Into Darkness. Might this title "release" really be a trial balloon to see how fans & the general public feel about it before deciding on keeping that title or not?

Oh it is. I saw that post earlier but didn't realize it was Aquahonga because it seemed too coherent.

Maybe Benedict Cumberbatch is playing Harry Mudd? Michael Fassbender would be good for Trek.

Anyway, what's the TK consensus about that title? Was that Damon Lindelof's idea?

They haven't had a good idea since they hired a hot blonde actress so one of them could fuck her.

I can't believe nobody posted the 3 frames yet:

The volcano thing is a ruse. This is actually from the scene where Spock reinitialises the warp core before Khan blows up the Reliant.

Regarding that leaked "scene" from Trek 12, my theory is, and ONLY read this if you've seen Ridley Scott's last movie:

that it's a snippet(s) from Zombie Fifield's homicidal attack on the Prometheus crew in the launch bay. My first thought upon seeing this alleged "scene" was "That's Zombie Fifield! That's a snippet of the Zombie Fifield Attacks Scene from Prometheus." That would make sense as Lindelof is involved in BOTH flicks.

Might I be right?
