Yeah it looks like they're just showing off their nerd knowledge (though I agree that Riker is most likely barring a horrible transporter/dog mix-up.)
 
Somewhere the titan is being run by a dog in Rikers body.
 
And he still sits in a chair weirdly!
 
I bet Dog Riker wouldn't be outwitted by Space Retards and nearly lose Geordi.
 
But the titan will chase a lot more squirrels.
 
Meanwhile Riker Dog spends most of the day licking his balls.

I’m very pleasantly surprised by how faithful it is to the universe we know. Stylistically there’s still some of the neon lights and whatnot of Discovery, but generally it looks pretty good.

Data and Seven are a nice surprise!

I thought the mysterious woman might be a somehow revived Lal, but someone in the comments thinks it’s the Borg Queen (or a potential).
