Starbucks Barista Whores

We have/had one of those in our office. Loved the Hazelnut flavor.

But now I work remotely from home, and have to grind my own beans (yes, I do that). I don't drink enough coffee at home to warrant buying that fancy machine for myself.

I don't ever, ever spend money in Starbuck's. I never liked their coffee, and I certainly don't like it now that they are overblown and done. Give me Dunkin Donuts or the local mom & pop shop any day.

Dunkin' is by far the best. It's one of the only things I miss in terms of foodstuffs back East.

Dude, the beauty of that machine is that it only brews one cup at a time. I am a big time coffee drinker, but even I can't drink a whole pot in one morning. I was always throwing away half a pot on Saturday and Sunday. The best thing is that I can brew one cup at a time, it actually saves some time and money. I'll try the Hazelnut tonight!

i like these brewers:

single cup, but you grind the beans yourself. brews in a minute thirty.

Damn, I love my Keurig so much, I'm thinking of getting a small one for my office. I've been moved down the hall to a bigger office, but it's far from our kitchen area. The mini one would be perfect.

My concern over that machine is environmental. Are the cups recyclable in some way? Every cup of coffee produces landfill waste.

Also, how long do the cups stay fresh? I could probably live for months on one box of Nantucket Blend and one box of Hazelnut. I don't drink more than 1 cup a day at home, in fact more often than not, I skip it altogether.

I had some 7-11 coffee today.

I had some Maxwell House coffee today.

My mom always made Maxwell House, but she made it really strong in an old-fashioned percolating pot on the stove, so it tasted kind of muddy when I was a kid. It tastes a little better out of my sister's coffeemaker now, I guess.

I took a vacation from the hazelnut and ground some Colombian earlier. I'm expecting an Amazon delivery and I haven't had much sleep. I have to sign on for work at 2. I hope I don't doze off in mid-PowerPoint.

I used to work at a doughnut shop that had the best coffee. It wasn't a big chain, the owner made the doughnuts. Best doughnuts and coffee I've ever had. The owner looked like Santa Klaus. young Santa with red hair and beard, plus he smoked a pipe. He also wore a bakers hat.. he was the coolest person I ever worked for.

Perhaps it was Santa.

Probably had half his face removed from mouth cancer by now.

He's probably dead by now, that was 20yrs ago.

What is TV?

Something the fake Luci talks about, unaware that the real Luci would never lower himself to such a level. God I miss that noble bastard.
