It would have been a good series finale, I think. But since it wasn't, the end dragged on too long.

I thought it was kinda cool that Pike and Patel got to have a life like Picard did when with the probe thingy and he learned to play the flute.

That was one of the Doctor Who shout outs Whiskey was talking about. The 10th Doctor basically had the same experience. When it works, it works. I don't think it worked here.

The other DW reference was the knocking, except it was five knocks and not four. I counted.
