awesome pics!! your stinging nettle is different than our stinging nettle - Ill try & get a pic somewhere, but I've been weeding mine out for years so there's none around here anymore - it could take awhile.

Our stinging nettles look different too. There are those small ones low to the ground and then the tall spindly ones that look like flowery weeds so you grab them and get a handful of stinging.
 
I actually heard that it's very healthy for you in stews & such and that the sting goes away when it dries out...but how long does it take to dry out sufficiently is the question....it really has an awful burning sting IMHO!

Yeah, I saw a cookery program where someone used knettles and dock leaves(maybe they balance eachother out?) in a stew. It actually looked very nice, but I think I'd wiggle my finger in it first to see if it was still stinging before letting it near my tongue.
