I lost my new job before I even started because the fucker who called me last month told me the wrong date and location. I was supposed to be getting another job offer that fell through because they said I didn't qualify after all because my superior academic achievement needed to be with a psychology or sociology major. And then my fiancée's aunt died when her heart exploded. She was only in her 30s.

Rocktar finally got his car yesterday afternoon. Which means I no longer have an excuse for not job searching. Starting Monday.
I really hope he can keep this car. He already had a minor accident on the way to work not even an hour after having the car. Claimed the new car smell made him drowsy and he drifted and grazed a guard rail doing minor cosmetic damage to his car.

Found out my cushy job is coming to an end. It's with an agency, so I'll find another position easily enough--just not with the perks and pay this one had.
Or I might go back into the school system, so I could start another round of "Will I have a job next year?"
We'll see. But I know things will turn out well. They always do.

30/3/2010: My living room carpet got replaced today. It's really nice to have intact flooring again. 
My sister and her [first] boyfriend visited for a few days. It's kinda weird since she's 16 and he's 19, but he's pretty stupid and immature, and thus not as creepy as I'd expected. I did do some serious binge drinking with this new redneck friend (my sister has bad taste lol) and eventually threw up on my bedroom carpet, ruining another section that'll have to be replaced, but meh. Spring break sucks.

This is so exciting it almost deserves a separate thread of its own.
Some time in the past I bought a package of low cut ankle socks - 3 black, 3 white. While I love the black pairs and wear them frequently, I hadn't worn the white. I was about to go out for the day yesterday afternoon when I discovered I was out of clean socks, except for those 3 pair of white low ankle socks. Normally, in a situation such as that, I'd simply wear sandals. However, included in my plans was taking a walk in a somewhat rustic area where sandals wouldn't be the best idea, so I wore one of those pairs of white socks. OMG. These are awesome socks. They are even better than the black pairs. I thought they were the same except for the color but I was wrong. Maybe it is because they are still like new. I don't know. It only matters that they are awesome and I have 3 new pairs of socks that are awesome. I'm going to sleep in them they are so awesome.

Going on a road trip with friends to the Bluebonnet Festival in Ennis this weekend. Kolaches and sight seeing. Woo Hoo!
Then, going to Austin the first weekend of May with other friends to visit several gardens, take a steam train, then take a little cruise at sunset to see the bats come out from under the bridge. Going to eat at some of my favorite restaurants too. They've never been to Austin so it is really going to be special. Double Woo Hoo!
Then, May 17th, I'm going into the hospital and letting them knock me out so a freaky guy wearing a mask over his face and vaseline on his finger can run a rubber hose with a camera inside it through my colon to look for stuff that may or may not be there. That is not a Woo Hoo. That is a WTF? They made me watch a film about it this evening at the doctor's office. It is like a requirement these days - raped anally and made to pay for the intrusion just for being 50 and over.
