The highway north of here is closed because of flooding. The river is not supposed to crest until Friday. THE SWAMPS ARE SWAMPY. I bet our hunting camp is underwater.

That would suck, the slow motion, delayed effect catastrophe. Everyone's like "WE MADE IT! THE STORM'S OVER!" and you sit and watch your living room slowly submerge, day after day.

We've got friends and family all along the river. I know they're all okay (physically) but they are heartbroken and exhausted.
