The Dark Knight Rises. Like bread.

Mmmm...Inception-looking JGL. SEXY RAWR
The eerie thng was - in the trailer scene, just for a millisecond I thought that it was Heath Ledger, and they were making some kind of mini-hommage... then, of course, ratio took the place of wishful thinking :(

Indeed. The pose accentuates both the butt and the boobies.

That's kind of the point, though. It's the standard "Show the ass, breasts and face in the same shot" pose that requires the woman to contort herself into some bizarre position just so it's that much easier to objectify her. All it gets across is "This character is an object to be looked at" instead of "This is a character in the film to identify with".

ScarJo does the same pose on The Avengers poster and it's just as stupid there.

Comic Book Men still run the fantasy / sci-fi / seuperhero genre, what can I say?

The chick has to wear a catsuit and pose like she's in Playboy. Then and only then is she allowed to kick some ass and say snarky things.

I really don't see what's stupid about CATWOMAN of all characters standing in a somewhat sexy post. She's Catwoman, her sexuality is part of the character.

But she shouldn't have to. She shouldn't have to be a walking sex object/Strong Female Character, she should just be... well... a character. And shots like that do nothing to help the cause, and a lot of further the "MEN DO THE COOL STUFF WOMAN DO THE LOOKING PRETTY" mentality in comics and film.

There's being sexual and there's being an object. That picture there is being an object.
