The Great Wordforge Railroad.

Well, it's been nice knowing you Visionrazor. Sorry it had to end this way. Best of luck with your book.

Ahhhh so it's the book that pisses you off. Probably not that even, just that he published it and can channel. What the fuck are you jealous of, sexy man?

Ahhh. According to gul, I "consistently broke the first rule" of Wordforge. Since I didn't talk about Wordforge, he must mean the other first rule of Wordforge. Let's take a look:

Could there possibly be a clause more perfectly made to excuse favoritism? Case in point: How consistently did Chup and others troll me outside the Red Room? Pretty damned consistently. So nope -- that doesn't fly as an excuse, in my book.

Look, it's so stupid, you can't even read it!

So Mr Saint...these are snippets from the Forge, these quotes?

Yeah. I can't address them there, of course, but since they made it clear that some of them are snooping in this thread, and for folks' entertainment here, I figure I'll address 'em where I'm able.

By the way, here's the real reason I was banned: Because TPTB wanted me to let their little peons shit all over me while I was supposed to operate under arbitrarily-enforced rules to which only I was subject. The cumulative effect being, apparently, to throw me into a non-stop cage match against three or four assclowns with both hands tied behind my back. I was supposed to let these Chosen Few troll the shit out of me, anywhere on the board they wanted, and never so much as say boo in return, was apparently the general idea. I haven't got much, but I have got my pride and my principles. I don't take any guff from any entitled assholes.

Aaaand now one of the dumbasses is accusing me of illegal activity, while the other one is accusing me of mental illness to bail him out. Goody gum-drops.

I think I'm so glad you trolled me to dust at comicon with jenna lo these many years ago.

That was fun. :)

Also, I don't know if Ed knows where to look to see this, but:

Oh, ok. I thought @Dinner meant less than legal or abuse of prescription medication.

He did. He was breaking Rule #2. He'll get a pass on it, of course, just because I'm the target, just like Chup got pass after pass on breaking Rule #1 and still does.

But like I said, I do feel bad for him and do hope that of he does have any psychological or emotional problems/issues that he can get help with them.

I don't, and I've explained that. But it doesn't fit Gul's narrative.

I really don't think he's a bad person, or intends to cause anyone any real harm. I think he just feels isolated and alone much of the time, and wants to be accepted. But views criticism of his work as an attack on him personally.

Look back through WAB's "objective" review. If I tend to view much of the criticism of my work as personal attacks, it's because much of it consists of personal attacks.

I've been thinking about why Gul, given his past statements, would have lobbied to bring me back on at WF after Anc pulled his original BS ban. And then it occurred to me. His reason should've been as obvious as it is petty and childish:

He just wanted to be the one to have pushed the button.

Who's this Oerdin guy still trapped in SS? Looks like admin let everyone out but him.

I was pretty sure, for a while, that it was our own Wordinterrupted. Same foppish demeanor and all. Maybe not, though. Might as well let it out so we can... play with it...

That was the other thing that makes me think they're the same guy. Like Wordin took his sweet-ass time making his way over there and become Oerdin in the transition. Oerdin being in SS puts the nix on that idea, though, I guess.

Oh I get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111 :smacks head: "Oerdin" jesus sometimes I'm thick.

So Gul finally confirmed what I'd told him in an earlier thread:

Some posters accept and understand the reason, some don't. That is how it will always be. There is a reason why the first rule is vague and subjective. Aurora wrote it that way, and subsequent owners have kept it in place, because there are going to be people who defy categorization. Make a thousand clear rules, and somebody will find a way to do something that only violates rule 1,001. It's the judgment of board ownership that rule 1 applies to Castle, that his persona and behavior aren't welcome. Considering the huge range of behaviors we do tolerate, I think so much moaning about this one particular decision is a bit misplaced. There's no end to behaviors at Wordforge that would get somebody the boot elsewhere. That's how most of us want it. That's how it is. Once in a while, there will be something that we decide not to tolerate, and because this is Wordforge, people will complain.

Essentially, it boils down to this: WF's rules are a sham, and they'll hand down bans based on popularity, not violation of board rules.

One more thing to respond to, even though the guy will never see it. Maybe somebody else there will see it and point him here.

It seems like Castle was banned for pretty flimsy reasons.

On the other hand, his posting style was so annoying, I'm having a hard time giving a damn.

The owners made a choice to ban him. Fine, it's their board. But he also made the choice to act like a child and throw tantrums, even knowing this would be the outcome.

Actually, that wasn't even it this time. Shouldn't have been it the previous time, either, seeing as trolling has always been allowed in the Red Room, and Protip: if it isn't upsetting anybody, it isn't actually trolling.

No, what I got banned for this time, presumably, was an admission that the Red Room trolling that prompted the previous ban had been undertaken for a constructive purpose.

@John Castle:

Listen to me when I tell you this. Wordforge is not your experimentation lab. If you are purposefully behaving in a way that you expect will drive people off the board, that needs to stop.

Doesn't all trolling carry the risk of that outcome? Isn't all trolling done purposefully?

But this guy singles me out.

And since you've claimed that is what it is, we aren't going to be dissuaded by the idea that your behavior should be excused due to mental defect.

I never claimed it was. The people making that claim were doing what? Trolling.

No sympathy, you will be banned if the outbursts continue at a level in excess of what common sense suggests is reasonable. And it will be permanent.

And they didn't. Got banned anyway.

Jesus Christ.

Saying "ignore him" only goes so far. Firstly, everyone has to do it simultaneously, all of the time, and that's very difficult to achieve.

No, dipshit, it only requires that the 3 or 4 consistent shit-disturbers who can't restrain themselves from picking fights with me for no reason put me on ignore.

I'm for keeping him banned, but if he comes back it would need to be with an understanding that he accepts certain conditions.

Oh, of course. Leave it for the resident Commie to demand that I should be muzzled and have my hands tied behind my back.

Jesus what a bunch of fucking whingers.

Fuck em....they clearly cant take a joke.
