Is it any surprise though? I mean, really? Radical Islamics hate America. Liberals hate America. Radical Islamics want to impose their radical views on everybody in a totalitarian system. Liberals want to impose their radical views on everybody in a totalitarian system. They both hate our military and burn flags. There's a lot of common ground there.

Oh, both hate Christianity.
 
No one wants to impose their radical views on everybody in a totalitarian system more than conservative christians.

Not true. I grew up surrounded by some of the most conservative Christians in the country. We had multiple snake-handling churches in town. Some of the Baptist churches would have massive rock-n-roll album burnings for their youth to attend. Yet they never bothered anybody. My dad would tell them he's a Satan worshiper so they'd quit wasting his time trying to "save" him. Everybody thought it was hilarious.

The only effect they had was on the wet/dry county alcohol vote, which they'd always win, and which they'd then celebrate by drinking beer from across the state line.

Why shouldn't you ever take a Baptist fishing? Because he'll never bring beer but will drink all of yours.
 
You say theocracy too often. It makes it seem like you want to make sure everyone knows you know the word.

Okay, but who cares what Christians want. If they were actually doing it, and in the very limited ways they sometimes try to do it, there's a problem. Islam goes all the way to the hilt with it. Bigger problem.

That's what happens when a religion that once turned out conquistadores and crusaders reforms and starts turning out Ned Flanders types instead.

Maybe the Muslims will figure that out so they can have money and nice things, too. 'Cause they don't seem to be getting any too far ahead murdering their daughters and sisters for the ol' family 'honor'.

I only individual women for things that are personally their own fault. There's no short supply of that. Anna's proclivity for hanky-donkey-panky, for example.

An album burning doesn't hurt anybody because the kids paid for the albums that they were burning. It did less damage than all the liberal kids sharing mp3's online.
 
I got to hand it to 'Gear, as long as it sticks to snarky hurtful one-liners like a sullen teenager, there's no way to counter it with reasoned debate. You can only point out that it isn't very interesting. :|
