What do people think of Packard's proposed compromise on Gul's rules changes? It seems better than Gul's proposal though I do have a concern about it being so broad and open to interpretation as Gul has shown he is ready and willing to use the rules unequally against people he dislikes. John may have stepped down but he still has access to the mods forum and no doubt is trying to spread his poison behind the scenes.

They grew more and more rabid as they thought they saw a second coming of Clinton. When that didn't materialize, they lost their fucking minds, and that's when their true regressive colors came to the fore. To be fair, that would have happened either way.
But they can't stand dissent from their regressive dogma. They're incapable of that level of maturity. I was the canary, but you're still in a poisoned coal mine, kid.

I'll have to take a look to be sure, but let me guess -- it's a rule designed to curb Dinner's "racism" -- never mind that Islam is no more a "race" than Naziism -- but, rather like Naziism, is a brutal totalitarian ideology with religious symbology draped over it. Never mind that Islam, like Naziism, oppresses, enslaves, and murders en masse. People who criticize it, like Dinner, must be denied a voice by whatever means are at hand.
This is why Gul, et al. and people of their stripe are known as the regressive Left. Because they do what they can to clear the way for brutal ideologies that actually do want to drag us back, not to the 1950s but to the 1150s.

That will never happen except perhaps as a way for them to try and recreate the restrictions of the Violet Room, with them letting me in but on triple-secret probation, demanding I prove that I will dance like a puppet on their strings.
Besides, letting me back in would be an admission that what they did was wrong, what they wanted to do was wrong, and that the "new direction" for the board is wrong - and that all their detractors were right.
Amusingly, they keep posting new rules and I think "Hey, more rules that I never broke!"
I was permabanned for not breaking a single rule, unless they have a rule for hypothetically revealing information that didn't exist in a justified attempt to show that the mod's were making up BS to ban me. :yes:

Since then they've decided to dispense with traps and just ramp up the repression. I mean, GTurner is fucked because they can't admit they were wrong. And Ramen and I are fucked because we mocked the argument that banning GTurner would make Wordforge Better in a particularly hateful way.
It must have been hard for them, because it was kind of what they really wanted. On one hand they were able to say "SEE!? We TOLD you conservatives were racist, never mind that I don't think I ever used "nigger" in over a decade and, after GTurner's ban, I don't think I made a post that didn't contain it.
Anyway, I think Dinner's next. Because they aren't very smart. And certainly can't think on their feet. And it's clear that they're setting the trap for him. Also, El Chup remains a Useful Idiot, so they've got to throw him a bone from time to time. He wants Dinner gone, so Dinner's going to go away.
RonPaul is probably next. Federal Farmer's probably safe because he hasn't figured out how to be genuinely hurtful and it is fun to make fun of him. Now that Paladin is gone, they need a token conservative whipping boy and Federal Farmer is made to order for that role.
The other two things on my mind right now are:
1) For years and years, Tasvir hurled the "N-word" and we had Marathon, Mewa, Alphaman, Anna, and possibly others. Now that "N" shall not be said, it's solely to protect Anna. If "nigger" so toxic and hurtful, why were there more black posters when it was allowed than there are now that it is banned and
2) Will Anna be changing her username to "Token" now? :marathon:
