Just got the first series and watched it. I'll getting up to date on S2 online over the weekend. Sarah Connor was miscast, but other than that, I like it.
She was miscast but Lena Headley is a good actress so it's forgivable. This week's episode had a great moment when Lena was channeling Hamilton's Connor perfectly.
Twas great!
Now, more on this..
Gagh, stop reading...lot's of spoilers..

I was expecting a lot from this weeks episode after the rather slow paced episode we got last week but we got another one which tended to lack pace and had a really pointless A-story that by the end had resolved nothing at all.
That said, the episode did have some major plot twists but they were more revelations and were basically answering questions with more questions. A Lost tactic that can wear ones nerves thin after a while.
So, Riley is from the future? -- Didn't see that one coming.
Jesse is a real bitch and I don't like her. Derek needs to wake up and take her to task. What is the plan anyway? Give John a girlfriend so he doesn't fall in love with Cameron or something? Also, it occurred to me while watching the episode that Derek has NEVER met Riley on screen. Coincidence?
Have they not noticed that Cameron looks a lot like Summer Glau? IDIOTS!
Speaking of which:
Oh. My. God. She was f'king gorgeous this week. How is it possible? How can she get hotter every week? It defies something I'm sure. I've loved Summer since the first time I saw her on Firefly and I am still certain that she is going to be a big movie star.
I will need to get some caps up later.
The finale of the episode was awesome and all of us called that we hadn't seen the last of Cromartie though I doubt any of us thought he would be back so soon. Well, he's not exactly Cromartie but yeah...
Anyway, the pacing was slow this week and they should start picking it up now since too much exposition can kill a story.
I don't like the Jesse/Derek side story. Riley being from the future is too weird.. are they really on John's side? I don't understand why Derek is keeping Jesse secret.
Derek is a great character but he's not being used very well right now. I'm not a fan of the Jesse storyline and Riley being from the future is a bit OTT.
I hope they're careful not to make the plot too convoluted and complex. They need to focus on the important aspects of the plot and prioritize them better.
Yes! It's just too scattered right now. Each story line is interesting, but when you only get a few minutes of each one every week, they kind of fall apart.
Well they've only got 12 episodes left (let's face it, there won't be a third season) so they better have a plan to tie it all together.
I wasn't sure if Riley being from the future fit, but remember she said something weird about "carrots and apples" when she first met John and he was like "huh?" Plus she made him a robot out of lego. She did seem genuinely freaked out when Cromartie was killing people in Mexico, though. Maybe she had been in a robot labour camp all her life and Jessie bust her out or something? I think the implication is that John is "in love" with Cameron in the future so they're trying to give him some human pussy so he won't come down with the robo fever.
I liked the bit where Riley freaked out at home because that's how I feel about ALL OF YOU. Her acting is better than Shirley Manson's and Jesse's so I don't get why TrekBBS hates her.
Sarah's sure going crazy, isn't she? The mental institution part of her backstory hasn't really fit as well in the series as it did in T2 until now.
I pretty much suspected from the beginning that Riley was from the future, though my bet was that she was another Terminator in Cameron's series (from the whole "apples and carrots" thing -- sounds like something Cameron would make up if she tried to invent a figure of speech herself instead of just mimicking figures of speech she hears)
It was interesting to have a standalone episode for once. Summer really carried it with her acting again. I liked the idea of the Terminator being stuck in the past, though I'd liked to have seen more of his past adventures. And how come he HAD to build that tower, couldn't he just kill the guy somewhere else? I guess it was his orders to kill him at that exact time or something. Anyway, pretty good.
