The Walking Dead season 3

We heard the gun shot but we didn't actually see Lori's corpse. I'm hoping for some zombie mom with an umbilical cord trailing down her stomach and wrapped around one leg..
Yeah, the fact that it happened off-camera, and that such a major character wasn't given any sort of sendoff on Talking Dead afterwards, leads me to believe that we haven't seen the last of Lori.

This season is kicking SO much more ass than the last one!

There's an interview someplace with the actress that she admitted

she really is dead. She didn't mention being a zombie but that her death was important to the development of Rick and Carl, and she will be staying on the show to "haunt" Rick like in the comics.

Yeah, but in the same article she hinted that death may still happen, just with a different character. I think she's been asking to be killed off since the first season.

Maybe she heard the cries of the fans and sacrificed herself because she knew how much everyone hated her ho-bag self.

What did they bury in the three graves when they only found T-Dog's body? Carol just disappeared (and they assumed she was dead because of her never before seen scarf) and Lori was apparently eaten whole(?) by that fat zombie.

It was another really good episode. Not really really good. But still far and away better than last season, which really can't be reiterated enough afaic.

The only thing that's letting it down for me is the Carol storyline, which just strikes me as an odd decision. Why rehash the Sophia plot from last season, only using Sophia's mother? It's like they want to have their cake and eat it. Sophia's story had a sad ending, so presumably Carol's will have a happy one. But nobody cared about Sophia and I don't think anyone really cares about Carol either!

Ok, so they're not eating the zombies. Whoever came up with that theory is an idiot.

NOT PENNY'S BOAT

Interesting ending... but is it all in Rick's head? No, it isn't all in Rick's head, says the stupid fucking preview for the next episode. FUCK OFF!!!

A guy on facebook that's obviously heavily into symbolism said the ringing IS in Rick's head and he'll hear Lori's voice. Him stabbing the zombie that was swollen with Lori meat was his way of taking his anger out on Lori, her pregnant belly and the unwanted child.

Personally, I hate symbolism.

I just can't get over how stupid Andrea is. Michone is better off without her. I mean, I kinda see what the Governor is doing, keep the masses happy ala The Coliseum, but that's what it took for Andrea to get the creepy vibe from him? Not the weird looks and his even weirder doctor? Okaaaaay.

Murl really likes killing zombies. I thought he was going to skull fuck one there for a minute, but it passed.

When Rick started stabbing the fat belly, my friend was all like "He's going for the wedding ring."

It was a good episode, but I wanted to see like zombie babies at the daycare.

Andrea(smiling): I had to kill my sister.
Other Girl: Sucks, right.
Andrea: Yeah.

So after a promising start this season's turned back into The Poorly Written Dead.

Andrea's just badly written in general. Falling for the wrong guys, jumping into stuff she doesn't understand. Getting the flu. It's always Andrea.

I thought it was good episode in general, but a bit sparse in terms of developments compared to the last few weeks. Micheone's always very watchable. Merle seems to have gone from being scary because you don't know what he'll do if you bump into him down a dark alley, to just flat out murdering anyone he gets half a chance to. Bit of a shame, that, as fear really comes from ambiguity and implied peril, rather than it being clear from the outset that a psycho with a knife for a hand wants to kill you because you're there.

The whole thing where a lackey tells his master that he's killed the hero when he hasn't... I didn't know we were still doing that plotline in this day and age.

If they kill Glenn and Maggie I'm not watching anymore.

"What about the head and sword?" What about the head and the sword? He barely knows her, why care about claiming her head as some kind of trophy?

Don't care about Rick.

GOSH, why didn't anyone check the cupboards?! Old lesbo haired potential love interests are ALWAYS in the cupboards!

Daryl: Ma mom set herself on fire when I was outta the house.
Karl: I shot my mom in the head so she wouldn't become a zombie after I helped perform a cesarean without anesthetic and delivered my sister. In a high security prison.
Daryl: Ok, kid, your story's better.
