The Walking Dead season 4

Why was Maggie asleep on the ground next to an ice cream van? What was the point of that story with the three of them changing between splitting up/staying together several times then just ending up back how they started?

I wondered the same thing.

On the talk show afterward the actress said there was a whole sequence involving the ice cream truck where she was trying to gut another zombie red paint container and got surrounded with a big fight scene. But they cut it for time. Probably show it next week.

Was it in the comic?

She mentioned that she was there to get the blood, but the sleeping was hard to explain. Maybe she gutted a zombie, then when she saw overwhelming numbers approaching she rubbed the goo on herself and played dead (really, if it was me I'd do that whenever possible - the stink would be worth it).

I liked a lot of the individual scenes this week, but over all it was kind of pointless. There isn't much we know now that we didn't last week. It could almost have been an episode completely made up of last weeks deleted scenes come to think of it. The most shocking part was the trailer at the end saying there are only three more episodes.

Now that sounds plausible.

Did Beth get hotter because she finally changed her clothes?

She was always pretty but it is amazing what clean clothes can do for someone. Imagine if she took a shower.

Well last night's episode was certainly intense. Even though the teasers kinda gave it away for anybody who was familiar with the comic it was interesting to watch THE TV version with different characters as opposed to the ones who went through it in the books. Didn't like Darryl ' s initial approach much, it felt a little forced onto his character for a guy quick on the trigger to go that route instead of opening up a six pack of whoopass. Element of surprise Darryl. You has it. The end was a pisser but expected. No Tyrese or Carol yet: hope they left a gun for baby Judith to shoot.

I was underwhelmed by last night's episode. It was intense, yes...but fuck if me and my friend weren't confused when it started. I don't do well with flashback episodes, especially if they start off that way.

AND I CALLED IT I SO FUCKING CALLED IT ABOUT TERMINUS

I wasn't exactly confused so much as wondering if Rick was having fantasy delusions or nightmares or something. Kind of like when Michonne did it. I kept expecting Her she's head to fall off.

I understood the point of the flashbacks (to show that Hershel's way of life wouldn't work in the world they were living in) but they did seem like a waste of time when we all know Hershel's way didn't work as it resulted in Hershel getting his head chopped off.

Maggie still doesn't ask anyone about Beth. Great sister!

Joe just going completely cackling, rapey evil so quickly felt like a missed opportunity. They should have introduced him earlier.

Yeah I thought Joe was an interesting character, and he had his own logic, as Darryl said, so I was a bit disappointed he went quite so nuts and got offed so quickly.

The flashbacks would've been better if they'd shown more that we hadn't seen before. I did like the bit with Rick playing catch on the allotments, as we were never really shown them having fun at the time. But mostly it felt like time wasting.

I wonder if Carol and Tyreese are still at large? There was some banging and yelling coming from one of the other crates as Rick and co ran past them.

Seems like the marauders and the Terminus people kind of got divided up from the hunters in the comic who IIRC were a bunch of cannibals. Too bad that story can't play out, I think Dale got bit and went out and got caught by the hunters who ate his leg, and they all got sick and died. Still might happen next season but it would have to be a different character feeding himself to them.

Yes, after they ate Dale's leg he said "you just ate TAINTED MEAT!" or something.

Then Rick, Michonne and Abraham murdered all the hunters and it was a "who are the REAL hunters!?" moment.
