Things you love about Star Trek

The most they did visually was, over the years, adding little dark patches to spots on VOY's hull to indicate where they had to do repair work.

It occcured to me since I first began discussing Star Trek online (nearly 30 years ago), how little of it I seem to have enjoyed.

I thought it might be fun to just go through it all and think over what I *seem* to have liked in this wheezing, geriatric franchise?

TOS: S1 - S2
TNG: Some of S2; S3 - S5; some of S6 / S7
DS9: Some of S1 & S2; S3 - S7 (minus some very dumb episodes here and there)
VOY: Smattering of episodes S1 - S3; S4 - S5; a few episodes across S6 - S7
ENT: Some of S3; most of S4

Discovery: Some of S1; S2's If Memory Serves
Picard: S1's Riker Pizza episode; S2E01

The Animated Series: insufficient data
Lower Decks: insufficient data
SNW: insufficient data
Prodigy: insufficient data
Starfleet Academy: insufficient data

Great movies: Wrath of Khan, The Voyage Home, First Contact
Good movies: The Motion Picture, The Search for Spock, The beginning of The Final Frontier, ST09
Okay movies: The Undiscovered Country, Generations, Star Trek Into Darkness
Shit movies: The rest of The Final Frontier, Inserterection, Nemesis, Star Trek Beyond
That bad I couldn't finish watching: Section 31

It's kind of like being a Simpsons fan -- it's always there no matter waht, so every episode or movie is going to be compared to your favorites.

You left off "Galaxy Quest" and "Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World."

I actually enjoyed ST: Beyond.

I remember a video which tracked how many torpedos Voyager ever used, turned out the answer was: a lot more than they supposedly had.

They weren't even trying!

"Tuvok, how many torpedoes do we have left?"
"Negative 25, Captain."

"FIRE!"

I loved going to the Star Trek Experience at the Vegas Hilton in the early 2000s. Which is why I found this video depressing as f.

The amount of shuttles they lost as well.

Replicators go BRRRRRRR!!!

The actual ride was great because...well the displays along the line to get in were great but the setup to get on the actual ride seemed really lame--but it was a (good) bait & switch and I still don't know how they did it.

Oh My...

It's a shame I'm not really into that style of game, but I can't complain since Voyager somehow gave us the Elite Force shooters.

I also had Starfleet Academy: Starship Bridge Simulator for SNES when I was a kid, now there was some SFA branded shit I could get behind. A lot of missions you could lose and end up failing the "year" at the academy if you chose combat over a diplomatic solution.
