Things you love about Star Trek

The "Spock Trilogy." The action and FX in the Star Wars trilogy are better but the pacing, dialog, acting, direction and--while I hesitate to say it, given I'm comparing John freaking Williams to James Horner (and whoever did The One With the Whales)--the music in 'Trek are better.

The "Stealing the Enterprise" sequence from TSFS is amazing. Spock's death and the "I don't like to lose" sequences from TWOK. Amazing. Better than anything in Star Wars. There's good stuff in TWWTW too, but nothing that stands out as much. Maybe Kirk's date at the pizza place.

Leonard Rosenman. Known for Rebel Without a Cause, East of Eden, and you might find a few similarities with Robocop 2, cause he did that too!
