this next version of windows sounds pretty boss...

the party time vid is so cringe-inducing, i love it. "We're all friends! This black guy totally hangs out with the old white lady on a regular basis, 'cause we're friends, that's what friends do!"
 
The best part about the full video is the way the time on the clock on the oven changes dramatically from shot-to-shot, thanks to the sloppy editing of the video!
 
The disturbing thing is when you realise how many videos they've made in that series. They didn't just stop at one abomination, they made a whole bunch of them.
 
what's scary is that they actually have a good product with seven, there's no real need to fall all over themselves trying to market it with this bullshit party concept. they should do commercials that straight up say, "this latest version of our OS is great, it has these technologies, it improves upon vista in these ways, and it runs faster than XP on the same hardware."

no one, i mean no one, is going to have a party over their operating system. when our office got our copies of snow leopard, we were like, "cool. i'll install tonight when i get home. see you tomorrow." and that was it.
 
i dunno. i'm beginning to think that bill gates was the stable, sane side of windows and now that ballsmer has been in charge for a while, things are slipping more and more out of the realm of actual humanism.

windows 7 does have really nice default wallpapers, though. so they got that right.

Yeah, that kind of explains why this advert's so stilted and out of touch with real life society's wants and expectations.
