Commentary: Well this is closer to the ideal with just 13 girls on it. I thought about female celebrities slightly less today than yesterday and didn't watch any tv shows that would impact the list. It's mostly holdovers from the day before with ScarJo retaining her number one spot (and really it's going to take something big to knock her off before Thursday.) Natalie stays high, showing her staying power and relative newcomer Lili Reinhart has so far excelled with this new (experimental) format. Of the four new girls it's Liv Tyler who does the best, going straight in at number two. Interesting!

Commentary: As I'll be watching live wrestling soon, I wanted to post today's list now while I knew I had the time. This means that the list doesn't cover the full day and if there's new pics of a girl in the next few hours I'll have to wait until tomorrow to put them on the list. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

The hardest list to write yet as I barely thought about female celebrities at all today, other that ScarJo still being in my head the most and Chloe rising really high after some great pics yesterday. For the rest I tried to accurately rate them on how much time I spent thinking about them today. For some this was literally just "I saw her in that M&S ad I posted in the Christmas thread and she looked good" which doesn't really take up a lot of thinking time. I don't spend hours each day pondering female celebrities. Not most days anyway.

Zoe de Grand'Maison is perhaps emerging as the surprise star of these daily lists, she has a unique look which is suited for sticking to the sides of my brain. Kairi Sane gets probably the highest ranking she'll ever get by being the cutest wrestler.

Commentary: I came SO CLOSE to ranking Chloe Grace Moretz at number one today and ending ScarJo's reign, but at the last minute I decided to quickly look at the recent ScarJo pics to make absolutely sure it was fine to rank someone above her...and I couldn't do it because ScarJo is blatantly better looking than CGM (in my brain's version of what's better looking, not saying it's an objective fact.) So ScarJo's still on top and thanks to me looking at the pics agains he very well could stay on top! Otherwise a lot of people drop off the list (Kat! Emily! EVEN NATALIE!) thanks to new people making it due to either Instagram pics (Zoe de Grand'Maison won Instagram for the day) or event pics from something known as the "Governors Awards." Also Alexa Bliss is a wrestler.

Commentary: And so the most important experiment of our time ends. What did we learn? Well, firstly it's hard to knock Scarlett Johansson off the top spot. She had two great sets of pics last week and nobody beat them this week so she stayed at number one. It's not really that unusual for me to have someone at number one all week, I have often made comments like "she was the only choice for number one" when posting the number one of my weekly list. It's still an impressive performance, the real test is if she'll still be number one this time next week.

How does doing a daily list effect the Wacky Hot One Hundred, the reason any of these lists exist, itself? Well it certainly helps girls ranking high in November 2018 do well in the WHOH as compared to girls ranking high in, say, November 2008. Back then I was only doing two lists A MONTH and they usually had twenty girls on them. So if someone was number one on both monthly lists they'd score a maximum of forty points for one month, whereas ScarJo just got 105 points for one week. That may seem unfair, and maybe it is! It certainly biases the list towards the present day rather than the olden days, but there already was somewhat of a bias with someone able to get up to 35 points (though that hardly ever happens!) a week in 2018, nearly as much as they could get in a month back in 2008. But remember, we live in the golden age of female celebrities. There's more girls than ever before and my female celebrity opinions are more refined than ever before. The first ever WHOH had less than fifty girls on it. The next one (PLANNED FOR NEXT MONTH) will have nearly 550 on it. So there needs to be longer (and possibly more frequent) lists today to accurately rank the far larger number of female celebrities who exist in my brain.

Anyway this was just an experiment for one week. It's over now. It went RELATIVELY smoothly. There were a couple of days where I didn't really care as much as others but I always managed to get a list up. Perhaps I'll bring this format back int he future for SPECIAL WEEKS like say the week of the Oscars or Golden Globes or whatever. Would anyone like to see that?

This experiment is over but I have ONE MORE experiment to go: next week I'll post TWO lists. One will be on Sunday at midnight, covering everything from THIS MINUTE to then. The second list will be posted at the regular Thursday time, covering everything from one minute past midnight on Monday morning to that time. These lists will no doubt be longer than the daily top tens have been but probably slightly shorter than the regular weekly lists. After that second experiment I will then go back to weekly lists before finally presenting The Wacky Hot One Hundred Version 16 before the end of the year. Exciting times!

If you end up gong back to a weekly format, should you, for the sake of statistical accuracy, add up the scores of any daily or semi-weekly lists and average them to a single week's score? Or should it all be covered under the above idea that the list is a natural evolution, and the scores should all be weighted equally? MY READERS WANT TO KNOW. (fucking Jake lol)
 
Taking an average or anything like that would be way too complicated. I'll just score them the way I described in the commentary as, like you said, the lists are a natural evoltion and a great number of points are available now even on a weekly list than were available ten years ago. And I'm definitely going back to once weekly lists after this week's double list week experiment.

Commentary: I thought I'd picked a bad week to do this because Thanksgiving meant a lack of new images (even the Instagram pics were all just of turkeys for a couple of days) and some of the tv shows that effect the list (Riverdale, The Good Place) didn't air new episodes. But I ended up posting nearly a full list anyway and actually some lesser featured girls got to make the list who might not have on a single list week. So it worked out well!

Felicity Jones knocks Scarjo off the top spot but it was close.

Commentary: I think this experiment went well! I will certainly consider doing two lists a week again in the future. Perhaps that would be good for awards show weeks (though I'd have to do the first list on the Monday rather than the Sunday because on the Sunday I'd be too busy watching the live red carpet.)

Next list will be on week today, as normal. I was then planning to do a WACKY HOT ONE HUNDRED that weekend, however it just accured to me that Smah Ultimate comes out that weekend and I'm probably going to want to play that more than I'm going to want to write a list of 550 girls. So maybe the WHOH will actually be IN TWO WEEKS. Yes, I think it will be.

COMMENTARY: FUCK, I honestly wasn't expecting to hit a top 35 again so soon. I really thought the recent experiments had helped me with list management, but no. Do I have to do a weeky of daily top tens now? Because I came up with an unwritten rule last time that if I ever hit 35 I'd do a week of dailies to get my addiction under control again. Commentary: HOLY SHIT what a competetive week. I would NEVER have been able to handle this week for a simple Thursday top 30 or even tp 35. Well, I would have written it, but it wouldn't have included everyone. The problem is that I CANNOT continue daily top tens long term. But maybe I can do them until I write another WHOH (before the end of the year.) That would force me to write it quicker. But anyway I didn't expect Michelle to be knocked off the top but Karen earned it and that's just how it is okay.

Commentary: What a rollercoaster week! Four different girls got to number one! The week started with Michelle and ended with Natalie. Maybe there's a metaphor for my life in there somewhere. I've also concluded that daily lists take up too much time (who could have guessed!) and will NEVER DO THEM AGAIN. Unless I really want to.

The schedule for the rest of the year: Four more lists. Sunday, Thursday, Sunday, Thursday. AND THEN, in the final weekend of the year, provided nothing goes horribly wrong, I WILL present to you the Wacky Hot One Hundred Version 16. Then back to weekly lists from the first Thursday of 2019. That's the plan.
