I didn't like Tucson that much, though. However, Phoenix and that entire area is freakin' gorgeous.

North of Phoenix a few hours is a town called Jerome; it's waaaaay up on a mesa overlooking this awesome valley. It will be 2 hours of drive and five minutes of "wow!" but hey.

Or go north to Sedona and ask every shop owner on main street which is the best vortex to see.

Eww, Phoenix is not gorgeous! Especially compared to Tucson. At least Tucson has some natural beauty left. Phoenix is too manufactured, too busy, and hotter than Tucson. Bleh. I'd shoot myself if I had to live up there. No personality to the city whatsoever.
