True Blood "Beyond Here Lies Nothin" PLUS S2 analysis AND advance S3 squee-ness

Joss Whedon's are at least funny, or even at worst, mildly amusing.

HOW COME YOU AREN'T IN MY FRIENDS LIST?

Because he's a horrible sonofabitch!!!!!!

WE'RE FRIENDS NOW!

Dawn Olivieri is going to play Alcide's sister Janice Herveaux. (she's the tattoo lady on Heroes)

I'll have to google her...thnx for update!

Who's playing Bitch ass Debbie Pelt???

Finished book 6, it was very good. The books keep getting better, IMHO.

^that who's playing Alcide's sister?

Dunno WHO they will be able to cast as Debbie van Pelt - she'll have to be ready to be cursed out on the streets!

^^She plays a prominent role in the books, but doesn't actually have a ton of "page time" as it were.

Wonder why Ausiello used such a terrible picture of her.. there are much better ones on the Google.

^^ooooh she looks like she could be an evil bitch! not bad!

but BDM's right - she's pivotal , but not a major character in the book per se - hope they dont turn this into another not-canon-character-storyline- drawn- out-for- an -entire- season- to- the -detriment- of -the -main- characters-on-screen.
Yes, I'm being a huge hypocrite: they saved Lafayette for us.
But he enriched the storyline, IMHO.

(no slag to 'Maryanne' who was cast perfectly, but her character/that storyline got annoying pretty quickly).

"I'm a waitress. What the fuck are you?"

Exclusive: 'True Blood' star defects to 'Good Wife'

I hope this doesn’t mean what I think it means.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Carrie Preston — a.k.a. True Blood’s Arlene — is heading to CBS’ The Good Wife for a multi-episode arc. She’ll play Elsbeth Mann (not a typo), a member of Peter’s (Chris Noth) legal team.

The timing of Preston’s casting is sure to raise questions about the fate of her True Blood character, particularly since the HBO smash is in the midst of shooting its third season in Los Angeles. The Good Wife, meanwhile, is based in New York.

Although an HBO rep declined to comment, a TB insider cautions against declaring the vamp-hating serial bride dead and buried. “Arlene isn’t a major presence in the third book,” notes the source. “A lot of the action takes place outside of Bon Temps, so [Carrie] probably had some free time on her hands.”

I like that theory better. Besides, Alan Ball wouldn’t dare kill off Merlotte’s only dependable waitress. In other True news, did you hear? Season 3 premieres Sunday, June 13! Viewing party at my someone else’s place!
Mark your calenders.

I've been avoiding this thread at all costs, because of spoilers and what not - I won't watch S2 until it releases on BluRay.

I finished with Season 1 last night, and I love the 12 episode composition. Less flab than many American seasons that way, and to the point (pun not intended). Sam turning into the dog was a "WTF" moment, and Paquin's "Get the fuck outta here!" when he told her he was a shapeshifter was priceless.

This has to be one of the most extraordinary TV shows to come out of America for year. I've never seen so much T&A in an American TV Drama show before. The violence cranks it up.

It's also pretty amazing that as Michelle Forbes gets older, and just keeps looking sexier & sexier.

There's so much to admire in the story too. I hope this can run to say, 5 seasons at 12 episodes each. I think that's enough before it gets too stale. The best shows end naturally leaving you wanting more, and TV this good shouldn't overrun.

I'm all awet with anticipation.

an...ti...ci...pation?

I'M JUST A SWEET TRANSVESTIE FROM TRANSEXUAL TRANSYLVINAIA
