Siddle Named Finalist For Two National Awards​


Third-year UNCW head coach Takayo Siddle has been named a finalist for two national awards. Popular basketball website CollegeInsider.com named Siddle a finalist for the Ben Jobe Award and the Skip Prosser Man of the Year Award in college coaching. The recipients of the awards will be announced in March in Houston, site of the 2023 NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four.

NABC Honors White For Outstanding Season​


Sophomore guard Trazarien White has earned postseason recognition from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) following an outstanding men's basketball season at UNCW. The 6-6, 190-pound guard from Mansfield, Texas, was named Second-Team All-District 10 after leading the Seahawks in scoring (14.2) and rebounding (5.9) in 2022-23. He recently led 24-10 UNCW to its second consecutive championship game in the CAA Tournament.

Baseball Preview: at Stony Brook​


The Seahawks carry a 13-8 record overall into the weekend and are tied for the conference lead with Elon at 5-1. The Seawolves, meanwhile, stand at 7-11 and 1-2 after dropping their opening conference series last weekend at the College of Charleston. This will be UNCW's first visit to the Stony Brook campus since the Seawolves joined the conference over the summer following a lengthy tenure in the America East Conference. The Seahawks own a 2-1 lead in the series with all games being played at Brooks Field. The last meeting was a 3-2 walk-off victory for the Seahawks on a Ryan LaGrange homer in 2013.
