With all the money and weapons President Biden gave Ukraine, you'd think they could have held their own.....Well not really. I think we/America have a interest/something to gain in the Ukraine-Russia war. Russia is also holding WNBA basketball star Brittney Griner hostage. Russia got our ass by the balls too.

Russia barrage on Ukraine shows no sign of letting up following apartment building strike: Live updates

Russian military strikes on civilian targets sharply increased over the past two weeks, according to Ukrainian officials, who said at a news conference that Moscow’s use of older and less precise weapons caused greater casualties. Brigadier Gen. Oleksii Hromov said that more than 200 missiles were fired on Ukraine in that time period, more than double the amount in the first two weeks of June, according to a Reuters report. Russia has claimed it only hits civilian targets that the Ukrainian military had taken over for use as a command post, weapons depot or other operations.

Russia takes control of a key eastern province, sets stage for war's next phase

The last Ukrainian bastion in a key eastern province is now in Russia hands. Seizing full control of the Luhansk region on Sunday may represent not just a major public relations boost for President Vladimer Putin but a significant battlefield development that could set the stage for decisive battles to come. Ukraine has acknowledged that its troops pulled out from the city of Lysychansk, just over a week after they withdrew from its twin city of Sievierodonetsk. Kyiv said the retreat was an effort to preserve manpower as it stares down a long war of attrition, while Moscow heralded what it said was a major victory. The fall of Lysychansk dominated Russian state media headlines Monday, as the Russian leader held a rare televised face-to-face meeting with defense minister Sergei Shoigu to thank the troops and Ukrainian separatist forces for the capture of Luhansk. It was celebrated in propaganda videos from the battlefield and in photos taken by Russia cosmonauts in space.
