When did Aethelwulf and Kwenthrith start hooking up?!! Anyway, I approve. lol

Ecbert and Ragnar both have a vision of Athelstan. I'm glad Athelstan's ghost convinced Ragnar to have mercy. Poor Helga would have died with Floki if he hadn't cut Floki down.

I think Gisela will stop hating Rollo next week.
 
I think something might have sparked between them when they were in the frozen forest on the way back and Aethelwulf put his cloak around Kwenthrith and her son.

Aethelwulf has been played badly by his father and his wife over Athelstan. Now he is involved with the mother of one of Ragnar's children, and Ragnar is also a huge fan of Athelstan.

It is interesting that Ragnar's ex-shield maiden wife, Lagethera, is having relations with the guy who swears he desires and loves her, not just wants her power, while he conspires with the young man seeking revenge on Ragnar by destroying all of his family. Justapose that with Aethelwulf and the conflict he has with all those who love Athelstan, it could get interesting. All these people are tied together in some very complicated ways.

Poor Helga. She gets the worst of it and she is probably the kindest of the bunch.

Think Rollo is about to go back to being Rollo something fierce. He'll probably save Gisla from Count Odo and that couple who are conspiring against her. She may not love her Viking savage hero then, but she may come to rely on him. He is destined to rule and leave an heir.

I want to see how Bjorn handles the Beserker coming for him. Bjorn Ironside is formidable but a Beserker is something else. Still, Bjorn took on that bear with a knife and an axe, he is battle experienced, and he is Ragnar's son.



It will be interesting to see if they all come together again to save Ragnar, or Bjorn, or Rollo, or Lagertha when all the negative forces converge on one of them.
 
Rollo and Gisla are fricking adorable. lol

Loved the Vikings yule celebration! And Ragnar and the new chick tripping out was pretty interesting.

Love how Princess got all over herself so quickly when Rollo spoke a little French to her.
 
I didn't see that coming. Not surprising, though, knowing her character. And, now Bjorn knows who the ring belongs to.

Bjorn is sizing up that new king and his brother too. Loved how Bjorn responded to his "you'll have no reason to kill me."

Ivar the Boneless showed up early in his little life. Historically, although all of Ragnar's sons are something special, Ivar is the son to watch out for.

Will be interesting to see how this all goes when Ragnar goes back to France. While he is drug addicted now and feeling his age, he doesn't die in France.
 
I can't decide if Aslaug is really seeing Harbard, or if she's hallucinating him. I think she's losing her mind, whether he's real or not! They did some Game of Thrones creepy shit with her breastfeeding Ivar.

I can't imagine how the raid of Paris is going to go with Rollo there and Ragnar tripping balls all the time.

I'm sad for Bjorn's little girl :( He should be ashamed.
 
It will be interesting to see how this goes. They've seen Rollo. They can tell he has gone native and is now against them. Isn't the first time Ragnar and Rollo have had a power struggle. But, Ragnar is older, more tired, and drug addicted. It would seem Ragnar should watch his back because of the guy declaring his desire to be high king of the Vikings. Think Floki has his back there. No matter what else has happened, Floki loves Ragnar.

Aslaug should be on her way out. As I recall, Ragnar and the shield maiden get married to each other again. Wonder most what is going to happen with his Chinese girlfriend. I think she is planning to make a run for it. She may think she will be better off with the French.

I want to see how Bjorn handles his girlfriend's husband now that he knows what the guy did. Lagertha probably has plans for his death too. Think she brought him along to protect his little boy and to put an end to him. She probably knows he was scheming with Kalf against everyone associated with Ragnar.

Love how the storytellers keep the plots going on all fronts. Wondering how this is all going to wind up to make way for whatever character Mr. Tudor/Dracula will be next season.
 
Ragnar is in the Warcraft movie coming out soon. If his big screen career takes off, he might leave the History channel's Vikings behind. Ragnar dies eventually and his sons, especially Ivar, go on to be little legends of their own, as does Rollo. The show could probably take the hit if they develop the sons a little more before Ragnar goes out.

Fuck, Ragnar has lost his marbles, but also he's gonna totally sneak up on Paris.
 
The story is getting all kinds of twisted plots here with the various characters demising.
Ready to see what happens when Ragnar gets to Paris and meets up with Rollo again.
Curious to see how many other characters die off before this season ends.

Now that all the Chinese medicine is gone - or will be very shortly, wonder how Ragnar will handle his withdrawal issues.

Now Aslaug has lost her marbles! That little brat never had any to start with. I can't remember the name of the other kid there, the one that looks like a girl (but isn't?), but he's the only one left at Kattegat with any sense. Poor fucking Siggy.

I wonder what the drug Ragnar was taking had in it. He was hallucinating like crazy when he first took it, but now he's having opium withdrawals.
 
I was kinda worried the quality might suffer when they decided to make longer seasons, but so far it's just been better and better.
