Wacky Reviews: Various Movies 2015

You can ahem acquire it! (Like I did)

I thought it beautifully made, and touching. It's a highly stylized comedy that actually tells an incredibly sad story.

I saw horrible bosses, and I liked it, it made me laugh a lot, which is what I look for in a comedy, it had Colin Farrell in it, but don't hold that against it as he was so unrecognisable, I didn't even realise it was him until I saw the credits.

Also I thought Denzel was in it, but it turned out to be Jamie Foxx, so now I feel a bit racist.

Jenifer Aniston has never been sexier.

I remember I liked it well enough when I watched it, but I can't remember anything about it now.

I think Jen has a contract where she's always in her underwear to SHOW BRAD WHAT HE'S MISSING because We're The Millers had a pointless strip scene too.

Maleficent - Yeah, I don't know why I watched it either. I thought it was going to be a movie that explained how the character become evil, but instead it was "she wasn't really evil at all!" Which is a shame because the most fun parts were when she was being evil. Why did all the villains have bad Scottish accents? I kind of liked the crow guy. Elle Fanning didn't get anything to do but laugh and smile. Can't really recommend this!

The Interview - Hey, remember when this was a big thing? It's not really that good. I mean there's funny parts. But for every funny part there's another "HOMOSEXUALITY EXISTS LOL" joke. So I don't know. It's not terrible. It's not essential viewing. Do what you want.

Yeah, I didn't even download it. The fact is, this uproar was wasted on a movie that everyone knew would suck balls. I don't need to see it.

Captain Philips - Tom Hanks is a good actor. He is. He does good acting. I thought this was going to be kind of boring at the start but it got quite gripping as it went on thanks mainly to Tom Hanks. The guys playing the pirates did a good job too.

Chef - I was doing other things while I watched it because it's not the kind of thing I would watch normally really but this was okay. John Favreu is a chef and he's fat and there's lots of shots of food and Twitter is mentioned a million times. It was a nice movie for normal people with families I'd say! Dustin Hoffman, Scarlett Johansson and RDJ pop up in smaller parts.

watched godzilla tonight, it actually made me appreciate the Mathew Broderick version more.

They managed to make a godzilla film that almost entirely features no godzilla.

Oh he's on screen, cut away quick, put him on tv so someone else can watch him, stick the long legged flying thing on again.

Hey let all the trailers heavily feature Brian Cranston, then lets give him ten minutes of screen time.

Lets pretend we are filming in hawiee, but feature loads of people from stargate and continum, and just give away the fact its filmed in canada.

But most of all lets film almost everything in complete darkness, and then stick a bunch of smoke over it.

I watched
The Book Thief
A well acted film with a great cast. (I can watch Geoffrey Rush all day long) The film picks the best cinematic pieces of the book and concentrates on the relationships and characters rather than the book stealing. I watched it with my family and enjoyed it. The prose around Death was well handled as well. Some beautiful writing.

The Motorcycle Diaries
Bit arty, but beautifully scripted subtitled film about Che Guevara. I loved it and it is very relevant still today as South America continues to be a complete cluster fuck and mainly due to outside influences. Maybe he had a point.
