Monster is a high-powered energy drink. It tastes similar to Mountain Dew, but not nearly as oversweetened. Monster Khaos is a variation of it that uses real Orange juice as the base and has much-reduced carbonation.

Its not what LoTS did, its what the OT mod wrote to him...

Threatened LoTS, the next action would be 2 warnings for a violation of the same kind instead of the normal 1.

I mean what the heck is that all about?
 
Nope Ru, read the post in the thread in OT - it's a different guideline that is being spoken of. And threatened him? No advised him that continued trheats would bring two seperate guidelins into play.

"TQ, that stuff sounds absolutely horrid - I've never liked energy drrinks even back when it was just Gatorade."

*Makes him up one anyway and watches in fascination to see if he actually drinks it.*

You can spin it anyway you like Shal, you always do. You threatened him with an action that is not in the guidelines. You didn't remind him of any existing rule and punishment, you made it up as you went along.

There is no 2 for 1 in the OT guidelines or in the board guidelines, although I'm sure you'd like to be able to up the ante anytime you felt like it.

You need a warning of your own to moderate within the damn guidelines and get off your opinionated high horse. You are not the conscience of EI, you're a public servant--a moderator. You have rules to obey just like the rest of us, and one of them is not making up rules as you go along.
 
*nods* You know what I thought EI always lacked? A set of written rules for moderators, specifically what is in their power to do and where that power ends. Moderators should be warned for their actions, just like any other member, if they step out of bounds. But I guess the question would be who enforces these rules...and we'd end up right back at the beginning like the WD topic. *shrug*
 
*yep* I reread the guidelines regrading moderators. Do you know there is not one single item there that speaks to moderator misconduct or incompetence? Not one.
 
I'm not surprised. But, you know if you bring it up their defense will be, "We hand picked these Moderators etc. etc... They're people we trust and so on and so forth... They only have the board's best intrest in mind..." [insert eye roll here].

What it comes down to is they are not only capable of it, but they do make mistakes like any other member. The difference? There's no consequences for them. The result: a power trip (in some, but not every case). And fuck the honor system! When they do make mistakes, they just change the guidelines instead of fessing up to--dare I say it--they were wrong.
 
Corwin explained it quite well, and based off of Corwin's explanation, I agree with Shalamar that the next violation of that rule should get the double.

Dang, I knew it was a gun, but I couldn't tell what kind it was. Haven't seen Desperado. Maybe I'll rent it sometime. :) Heard it was good.

What's in the guitar case. I can't wait until I freaking rent the dang movie to find out.
 
Lord of the Sword isn't going to let this pass by. He's going to raise cain, even if it means he'll get a suspension for it.
 
There's just so many loopholes in their system, IMO. Either do something and do a good job of it or don't hold the faulty system against the members...

Ya know Ru, I really love how it all of a sudden becomes a one mod forum the minute one of the three mods is chosen to post an 'incident report'...

There are three of us, and while Cait may think we march in lockstep, that's simply not true. We are three individuals, and we each speak our mind, but it really is pretty much a majority rules. And as we don't indulge in breaking ranks outside the SL, no one will ever know who disagrees, dissents, or offers alternatives.

Ya'll only know part of the picture, and it gets really amuseing to see the assumptions you all come up with.

I guess I get shot because I'm the one willing to take the time and do the announcements.

But Cait when you are saying mods ought to get sanctioned for 'breaking the guidelines' who do you decide which mod to sanction?

and I guess we could have suspended LotS immediately under #9 but boy that would have been harsh and over the top, but then again that's just what you seem to expect of us.

You see only what you want to see, or so it seems.

Since you seem hell bent to drag me into your conversations where ever you roam, I'll get into this with you.

You march into every AQG thread like you are the definitive word on what is or isn't proper. When you do that, you have to take the heat for your own words.

You don't get to mouth off like the know it all bitch you are, and then slink back into the "There are three of us, and oh poor pitiful me, I get ganged up on because I respond in a thread."

You either stand by your word and take the heat, or get the hell out of the kitchen.

Shal, you've needed to take a break from moderating a long time ago. Maybe no one wants to tell you because you are sick. Maybe no one wants to tell you because you can be such an opinionated bitch. Maybe people feel sorry for you and want to not add to your problems by suggesting you take a vacation. I don't know, and I'm at the point where I don't care. But, honey, you need a rest. EI isn't your occupational therapy while you recover, and I'm not your scape goat.

I'm sorry you are ill, and I wish you every blessing possible in your recovery, but I refuse to be your whipping post just because you are too ill or too self-involved to see your own behavior for what it is.

And if you think I'm the only one who thinks this, you are a fool. I'm just the only one willing to say it.

Now you have a nice day being amused at what we say here on TK, because I'm amused at how you trot on over here to act all holier than thou to defend yourself.
